Let Me Makeup Your Mind

Serendipity (Part 1 of 3) - It's long been a favourite word of mine, meaning the occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way - which so often happens in the crazy game of makeup. Sometimes you can have a day where you 1) need to suddenly change shoot locations, 2) only get less than an hour of light to work, and 3) have to deal with midges that are eating you, the photographer, and your poor model alive while trying to get the shots... And then somehow, you end up with pictures like these, and you forget about the problems you had and just embrace that sweet, sweet serendipity. With the always spectacular Julia Gorban modeling for us and the talented Paul Iacoviello providing the fabulous shots!

Back to Nature - In the countryside outside of Hamilton, halfway between a cemetery and some picturesque oat fields, I got to work a little minimalist magic with the lovely Julia Gorban, who has just finished headlining a run of Mary Poppins in Chicago and will soon be appearing in Gypsy - check her out, she's as incredibly friendly as she is talented! Boho in Binbrook - As the weather can't seem to make up its mind this week, and the brief moments of warmth and sunlight are giving sway to the grey skies and rainy winds, I'm lifting my spirits by going through some of the sunnier days of last summer. From one of the hottest days of 2016 - so hot it melted three tubes of lipstick in my kit! - I got the chance to work with the lovely Mikyla Red and the always fun Terry Walker (Terry Walker Photography) at the incredibly picturesque Binbrook Conservation Area.
