UPDATE: The Federal Court has just released it's decision on the Safe Third Country Agreement STCA challenge - they have struck down the designation of the US as a Safe Third Country, based on violation of section 7 of the Charter in returning people to detention in the US. This is great news for those in the US who would prefer to make their refugee claim in Canada.... Feel free to contact us for more information. The effect of the decision is suspended for 6 months, so there is no immediate effect.
