We are forming a Zoom Meeting of Trades effected by the Lumber & Material pricing crisis that is hitting all of us ...in Ontario. It is bad enough that we have had to navigate through the first wave of the pandemic, but with the second wave arriving, being forced to deal with uncalled for increases to all of our primary building materials is the last thing we need at this time! Additionally most of us have contracts or tenders that have been released with pricing that is now off by 30-40%. We have colleagues and professionals that are being affected, family & friends that are overpaying, and we are the ones taking blame from our clients or having to explain to them the rationale behind this massive jump in costs. We want to ask the powers at be Why is this being permitted to happen?
