But it makes sense to me! Many of my clients are essential services, so they need to be open and taking payme...nt. Which means I need to be open if they need my help. These days I'm just letting all my clients know: I’m here for you. Even though it’s hard to prospect for new business, I have had a few people reach out to me about opening new accounts. Maybe you’ve noticed, stores are a lot more reluctant to take cash nowadays. And chasing down people for cheques? No thanks! The calls I’m getting are from people who had always been on the fence about taking credit cards for payment. Now they HAVE TO just to stay afloat until this pandemic is over. This week I had a one-to-one with the President of another BNI chapter, which basically means we talked business while her dog begged for my attention. This was a gentle giant of a dog who only dislikes male Purolator drivers. So when my machine was delivered there, needless to say the driver ran away screaming. Fast. But the point is that this de...al stemmed from a conversation. From asking questions. From finding out about her business model, what her experience has been with her past providers, and what her needs are for the future. These are all things that came out of our 1-to-1, and that’s all I’m looking for. When you’re talking to your business owner friends about PandaPay, I don’t need you to sell it for me, right? Have a router at the back of your shop, but dial-up near the cash? Time to upgrade to a Bluetooth or WiFi-capable machine. You NEED 4G, especially if you have techs on the road, calling in credit card numbers.
