This is Lily. Two years ago, she lost her mom, Laura, to breast cancer. In honour of her mom, and the many women currently fighting this terrible disease, Lily decided to fight back by giving back. Last year through her bake sale, and this year through online fundraising, Lily was able to raise funds for the Massel-Cruickshank Breast Cancer Patient Assistance Fund. This fund helps relieve the financial burden for breast cancer patients who may need wigs, mastectomy bras and... other costs associated with treatment. I have a sense of satisfaction. I feel happy like I’m fighting back. I’m helping people and kicking cancer in the butt. - Lily. Thank you so much, Lily!

"Hi Vanya. You are our Christmas miracle." "Those were the first words I heard as I woke up from a coma. My doctor had to manually pump my heart in an elevator to keep me alive - he literally held my heart in his hands. I know that I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for LHSC if it wasn’t for YOU. This holiday season, your special gift will give someone else, just like me, the chance for their own Christmas miracle." - Vanya Lang, a grateful patient... Visit lhsf.ca/miraclematch to give today or learn more about Vanya's miraculous story.

We are proud to announce the continuation of a long-standing partnership with the Breast Cancer Society of Canada with a $2.5M commitment through 2030 for breast cancer research. In honour of this partnership, the translational breast cancer research unit will be renamed the Breast Cancer Society of Canada Translational Research Unit. Researchers like Dr. Alison Allan and her team will continue the great work to better understand the disease and try to find the best treatment options to improve patient outcomes. Thank you BCSC for your continued partnership.

Wanting to take my life has always been in the back of my mind since I was 12. For most of my life, that thought has never left my mind. It’s always there, sometimes just below the surface... buried. But the First Episode Mood & Anxiety Program has given me new hope. Right now, hundreds of youth like Tandra are waiting for help. Waiting can have devastating outcomes. They need more services. We need your support. Donate today at lhsf.ca/femap.... #everysecondcounts #dontmakethemwait

If we don’t expand, we will implode. Right now, a patient who is courageous enough to reach out has to wait up to 10 months to receive the help they need. Waiting can have a devastating impact. Donate today to help expand services at lhsf.ca/femap #everysecondcounts #dontmakethemwait
