Today was the first day of an arduous counting of the mail-in and other ballots. As about 45% of all votes took place in this way, it is an important process. Julia organised a full slate of scrutineers. I am proud of all of you!

Knowing that post-election week is fraught with grief and sel-recrimination, it was particularly sweet that Janet Delgado and Jeff brought me flowers yesterday. After such an intense high, riding the wave of hope and team energy, it's common to feel low. These made my day! Thanks again, Janet and Jeff.
