The OLP leadership campaign feels like it was a decade ago! And in a parallel universe! Who can believe we were in a room with 2500 people three weeks ago?! Here are some pics from the early days, before I was greenlit. Two early highlights: Lucille Collard held a fashion show fundraiser at Shepherds and Kathleen Wynne came to the Ottawa Vanier AGM. I don’t have many regrets about the campaign but I do wish I had more photos overall. Next time ;).

I have been quiet on this page since the convention. I am working on the back end of the campaign now. Figuring out the financial pieces. Sending thank you notes. I expected quiet busy work to wrap things up. What I didn’t expect was a sort of empty feeling that comes from wanting to help but not having an outlet to do it. During the campaign, with all the opportunity to speak and share ideas I felt like I was contributing at least to a positive discourse. Action springs fr...om ideas and so I felt I was making a contribution. Now, when everything is upside down and so much needs to be done, it is extremely strange not to have a voice or even a way to help practically. Being in self isolation of course contributes to this feeling. I literally can’t help anyone for another eight days. What are people doing to contribute to the well-being of the province while in quarantine or isolation? I would love to hear your ideas.
