There are lot of rumors about May 6 Pilot project of IRCC. In the past IRCC learnt through Court litigation that any system intake shall be fair. It shall not b...e a typing skill test so that applicants with better typing skills take the lead. Similarly, applicants with more family members take more time to fill application. Given the history, it is likely that Expression of Interest intake will open on May 6 for number of weeks and then applicants will be selected randomly. Any other process will lead to class action lawsuit against IRCC. Rest, Guidelines are on its way about the intake process. See more

Excellent Judgement by the Federal Court with respect to dealing with a foreign national at Port of Entry and making arbitrary decision to deny entry and compel... to leave Canada: [81] In this case, the officer skirted the process of withdrawing the application in order to obscure a decision of inadmissibility to make a removal order that was in fact made unilaterally by the officer. He did not even prepare the report... [91] In my view, the actions of the officer who is the subject of this application are abusive and demonstrate a disregard for procedural fairness and the law. The law is well established: the abusive conduct of an immigration officer is one of the special reasons that may justify an award of costs under section 22 of the Federal Courts Immigration and Refugee Protection Rules [92] The officer’s conduct is far more serious and prejudicial than a mere prolongation of a judicial review proceeding and departs significantly from the usual administrative failures in such a context.. International Students- Temporary Amendment to Rules Pertaining to Work in Canada. Temporary rule change aimed at helping health-care facilities, other workplac...es under pressure April 22, 2020OttawaTo help battle the COVID-19 outbreak, starting immediately, the government will remove the restriction that allows international students to work a maximum of 20 hours per week while classes are in session, provided they are working in an essential service or function, such as health care, critical infrastructure, or the supply of food or other critical goods. During the COVID-19 outbreak, workers in certain roles and industries have been under considerable pressure, and the government recognizes that international students who are already present in Canada will help meet the challenges of the pandemic. For instance, thousands of international students are studying in health- and emergency service-related programs, including many who are nearly fully trained and ready to graduate. This temporary rule change provides health-care facilities with access to additional well-trained workers at a time when they are badly needed.
