Myth: My doctor signed the application for the Disability Tax Credit (DTC) so I can use the credit on my tax return. Truth The application must be approved by CRA before the tax credit can be used.

Dont be fooled! If you or someone close to you are filing for the Disability Tax Credit (DTC) you DO NOT have to pay 30% of your refund to claim this credit. All you need is a DTC application (Form T2201) completed by your doctor. Visit our office for details. #TaxTipTuesday
