I often hear this question: Do I need legal representation for my matter? It depends! It is really up to you. You should determine your goals, and what is really at stake. What are the possible repercussions if you lose.... Do I need to go to court? Could the end result be devastating? Will my insurance go up? Will my driver’s licence get suspended? Will there be a large fine? Can I go to jail? As a paralegal licensed by the Law Society of Ontario, I can provide you with legal services and represent individuals and corporations in the following areas: Traffic and other offences under the Provincial Offences Act, which are heard in Provincial Offences Court; Occupational Health and Safety offences; Labour Offences including wrongful dismissal; WSIB / CPP appeals; Appeals under the Provincial Offences Act; Small Claims Court litigation (up to $25,000); Minor criminal charges under the Criminal Code which are heard in the Ontario Court of Justice; Statutory Accident Benefits (SAB) claims covered under the Insurance Act for for minor injuries due to motor vehicle accidents; and Hearings before administrative tribunals and boards (including the Landlord and Tenant Board, Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, the Financial Services Commission of Ontario, Social Benefits Tribunal and the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.
