This picture is not about the individuals or about the specific uniform we wear. It’s about a common bond that’s formed between the women and men who wear a uniform to serve their community and the people who live within it. As everyone is aware we lost an important piece of our community recently and we want to show support for Sgt Harnett’s family and Calgary Police Service as a whole. In the coming weeks we will be putting together a tribute garment with all proceeds going to support whatever CPS decides in the way of a memorial fund. Received this photo today...extremely proud of Friend and former Police Prep client who has been accepted into training with Toronto Police. Not an easy gig these days but we know he will serve his community with honour and distinction. We take our Police Prep course very seriously and have turned down potential clients in the past as they have not met our criteria for training. Law Enforcement is a serious and demanding calling which should not be taken lightly and we res...pect the women and men who choose this profession and tirelessly serve day in and day out. So when I first sat down and thought out the idea for #40kOneDay the first person I told was @shiks86. Literally fired him a text with a few lines about my idea and within minutes he had drafted out a game plan. To say Jeff was excited about my idea would be a drastic understatement. His excitement hasn’t decreased since either . Whether it’s strategizing about race routes, participation levels, allowing me to join #tracknight or forcing me to nail down my race pace Jeff has been there since day one. Thanks Jeff oh and he offered to carry my stuff on run day like come on that’s a bro! Or he’s showing off haha either way thx man wouldn’t be the same without you see you at the finish line and every step in between.

On the 28th, lululemon ambassador Shane Iutzi is celebrating his 40th birthday by raising awareness and money in support of prostate cancer research. The #40kOneDay journey is broken up into 5 individual legs. The day starts with a 7.5k run in Red Deer, followed by three legs in between each lululemon for distances of 6k/5k/14k respectively, and finally finishing in Banff 7.5k. ...Anyone can register for any leg of the total 40k or do the whole thing with Shane . Cost is $20 for any individual leg with subsequent legs costing $10 each. All proceeds go to the @albertacancer foundation. Details on registration for run: run will start in Red Deer the morning of March 28th (run times TBD), then on to Calgary, with the final leg in Banff for a total of 40k. Anyone can participate in any part of the run or sign up to complete the entire 40k. $20 will get you registered for any individual leg of the run (25k in Calgary broken up). Any subsequent legs are $10. You get to pick and choose where you want to run. You could sign up to run parts of the 25k in Calgary or simply sign up to just run the final 7.5k in Banff...kind of like "choose your own adventure". We will have a master list of all registered runners to keep track of who signed up for what. We will keep posting detailed info on specific run routes etc. over the next few weeks so stay tuned.
