Yesterday I posted a #selectiveattention test (you can see it below). Selective attention acts as a filter to ensure that the our brain works best in relation to its tasks. E.g., if you are texting while driving, driving isn’t your primary focus, and this may lead to you know what. "It's easy to miss what you're not looking at." ... Have you ever thought that our attention is a product? We sell it every day. Not necessarily for the money. In return, we get various interactions, positive emotions, professional growth, and #information. Why is it so important to develop attention as a skill? The ATTENTION ECONOMY has been our reality for a long time. But we haven’t noticed, have we? While it’s only air that we consume more that information. And the less we can control our attention, the more chaotic this consumption is. Think about it: We get information from where our attention is. We become professionals where our attention is. And - if you don't control your attention, someone else will! From inside or from outside. Whether it’s your habits or talented marketers. Notice how your attention is being deflected. Where? From what? Return attention to yourself. To what's important. Train it like you train a muscle It is not difficult, but it takes time. Get started now. How are things with your attention, my friends? Interested to get some practices to develop attention? Put YES in comments and I will post them! #elena_integralcoach #motivation #coach #lifecoach #training #fitness #mindset #business #leadership #love #instagood #photooftheday #inspiration #success #lifestyle #mindfulness #entrepreneur #pnl #personaltrainer #sport #amor #life #workout #marketing #inteligenciaemocional #psicologia #goals #bhfyp

THREE WAYS OF A BAD REST This post is for you if you are getting exhausted at work, but a thought about Sunday night gives you worry and a twitching eye. Because what is the ideal day?... Wake up early, have yourself an hour for meditations, quick workout or reading Have a nice breakfast. At the table. Not in the car. And get to work, feeling like you’ve been plugged into a socket. Perfect morning, eh? BUT Statistics shows that 75% of us work in a state of deep fatigue, and the main reason for that is that we simply DON’T REST RIGHT! So, here are the top-3 things that annul your attempts to get some rest. Rest = scrolling tik-tok Seems so distressing, right? We think while browsing insta, that’s how we take our mind off work related things. This happens because our brain gives us dopamine, a quick hormone of satisfaction (same for casino or heavy drugs, btw). Video content + surprise effect keeps us even more focused, therefore our brain doesn’t have a chance to relax. Tired? Ignore it! Rest is for noodles; If you want to really relax, you should get more tired; Success only comes with extra effort; and other stupid stories. If we don’t get your brain rest, it will spend all its power for small operational tasks, not leaving anything for creativity, goal-setting, planning and motivation. Best rest is change of activity. Tired to death at work? Then go be more active at home! How about cleaning, cooking for the whole week, cleaning backlogs of routine tasks, grocery shopping.. sounds fun to you?) Do you also have a special way of resting, which is not about resting at all? Let’s gather a list of dud advices here #elena_integralcoach #motivation #coach #lifecoach #training #fitness #mindset #business #leadership #love #instagood #photooftheday #inspiration #success #lifestyle #mindfulness #entrepreneur #pnl #personaltrainer #sport #amor #life #workout #marketing #inteligenciaemocional #psicologia #goals #bhfyp

Today I’m breaking the 2 weeks silence with an unusual post, and I know you like when I share more personal stuff here It’s been a month since I’ve teared into the world of gymnastics. This is a brand new experience for me, and I got quite a few really interesting insights while learning the basics.... When I first got into a room, I saw all these headstands, back flips, hand walks, bridges that the coach can do.. I got immediately excited, went right into it, and it was horrible I was frustrated, and had a quick feeling that I picked the wrong sports. So, I got my first lesson learnt: Spontaneous energy is a great driver, but you still have to do the work to maintain it. I started practicing and as I didn’t get immediate results, I felt that my motivation was leaving me. Since there was no way to stop (the membership isn’t cheap at all lol) I kept going, and right when I saw some progress, I got the interest back. Thus, here’s another insight: We often dislike a task until we get good at it; and if we receive positive feedback for a sustained period of time, we can ironically become passionate about it. Some elements look easy from the side, and I know I can do it, but something is just keeping me away. This something is called fear. Fear of uncertainty, fear of not being able to handle it, fear because I don’t know my limits.. And you know what was the hardest? The bloody first time! Catch my third insight! First try is the most difficult, but once you’ve done it, you immediately forget all fears and uncertainties. A simple way to cope with them is to keep in mind that fear is temporary. One thing I really hate is splits. My stretching is ugly, and as I think of how much work is waiting for me, I don’t feel good. But it’s a part of the deal! There you go the fourth lesson: Even if you follow your passion, there’s crap you won’t like doing - mentally prepare yourself. Because, Taking ownership is everything. Did you have situations where you also got insights like these, my friends? PRODUCTIVITY LIFE HACK: TIME BLOCKS This approach allows you to break your day in accordance with your activity types. I use this system because my day is very versatile and has too many different tasks: from interviewing candidates to developing content strategy, and from marketing to conducting deep coaching sessions. With the help of time blocking, I can be more focused and get less distracted by daily tasks. This is especially helpful while I am working from home, when I ...am waiting an email with one hand and cooking dinner with another RULES: You determine your activity blocks (work, family time, startup, consulting, writing, planning, blogging, sports, etc.) Assign a COLOUR to each of your activities. In your calendar, plan 2-3 hours for each of your activities, and give it a respective colour. Inside of each time block, describe your tasks in details. Act! TIPS: It’s also convenient to have the same days/day times designated to the same tasks. Like that, planning your next day/week will become faster. Also, once a time block is put in your calendar, if doesn’t mean that it’s set in stone. Within your block, you can shift and change tasks as you’d like, or even ignore some of them if that’s what’s reasonable. You will be surprised how much more productive you can be using this time-management technique! Time blocking is a kind of simple guide for your days and weeks, which creates a structure for your daily tasks. It’s great habit to develop if you multitask a lot. Have you tried something like that, my friends? A STORY OF PERSEVERANCE or How my friend got a job that never existed.... I have a friend. His name is Boris. He is a great guy in his 40s and is a really skillful welder. He has recently moved to a new home and decided to look for work. First, he did his research and found all fabricating shops within 20 mins drive. Second, he took time and VISITED each of those shops personally. He was showcasing his works and was showing he really knew his stuff. He was speaking to the managers and asked if they were hiring. None of them was. But it so happened that Boris fell in love with one of those shops: they had beautiful modern machines, fancy premises and friendly people. And what was more important - it was 10 mins drive from his home. So Boris went there again. This time, he asked what the company needed to get him onboard. The Hiring manager was impressed, but still sent him home and said: "We gonna call you in a week." And never did! So Boris went there again, FOR THE THIRD TIME, and said: "I'm here again, because you never said NO." And the Manager said: "Ok, you're starting on Monday." Morale: Sometimes SAYING you want something is not enough - you should SHOW IT. #successstory #careercoach #jobsearchtips #jobsearchadvice #landajob #newjob #careercoaching #jobsincanada#jobsearch

WHAT IS A CORRECT FIRST STEP IN YOUR JOB SEARCH? The common mistake I see most of the jobseekers do is that they start their search by writing their resume and LinkedIn profile, and hit the job boards right away. THIS IS A BAD IDEA. Your resume should not go first, and also winging it in your job search can cost you both time and money.... Before you commence your search, whether it's reaching out to your acquaintances or applying online, you should be clear on: 1 Who you are and what value you bring to organizations 2Target companies who hire people like you Here's an example of imaginary John: Title: Logistics Coordinator Location: NCR Salary expectations: 70K annually Value: early adaptor of new technologies and people management expertise. Companies who can benefit from my skillset: big companies, small service delivery companies that are growing new directions. After setting up his goals, John will have to do his research and create a list of companies in his area and start connecting with decision makers.. but it's a whole separate discussion Interested to learn the effective ways to knock the target companies doors? Put "interested" in comments and I will write an post about it. #elena_integralcoach #motivation #coach #lifecoach #training #fitness #mindset #business #leadership #love #instagood #photooftheday #inspiration #success #lifestyle #mindfulness #entrepreneur #pnl #personaltrainer #sport #amor #life #workout #marketing #inteligenciaemocional #psicologia #goals #bhfypo

HOW TO MAKE SURE YOUR LINKEDIN DOESN’T WORK FOR YOU I’m in funny moods on Fridays usually So today - no dull educational content! I’ve developed a step-by-step instruction on how to prevent a Recruiter from messaging you on the world’s number one talent source.... 1 Put your school picture. The options are endless: your wedding picture, party pic, selfie with butterflies or just a pic from your moms garden. Just don’t use a good quality professional photo. 2 If you are actively looking for work, say, no, SCREAM it in your headline! Don’t just open your profile for recruiters, it’s not enough. What you want to do is create a profile of a desperate professional who no one wants to hire. 3 Don’t complete skills section. Shock! Recruiters use boolean search based on keywords to look for profiles they need on LinkedIn. So don’t put your #projectmanagement skill so that you’re not bothered with those types of jobs. 5 Complete your irrelevant hobbies section. You’re a great fish-man? Microsoft will be ingested in your profile! Or maybe you are into #selfsedense? Then, probably you’re good at negotiations While there’s nothing too bad about it, honestly, just leave it for your friends. 6 Put your expired certificates/education. Good job of attracting a Recruiter to your profile. Now it’s time to send the copy of it! Oops, looks life didn’t prepare for that. 7 Don't add people, especially recruiters, to your connections. Only add people you know in life! The world is dangerous, and there are a lot of scammers. 8 Once you've killed your profile, don't ever bring it back to live by posting anything, commenting on articles that are of interest to you, don't follow thought leaders in your industry, and - for gods sake - don't follow the groups! I hope these advices will help you kill your LinkedIn profile and make it totally unattractive for recruiters and hiring managers. Happy anti-job-hunting! . . #elena_integralcoach #careersconsulting #careercoaching #careers #gettingjob #jobsearch #resume #resumewriter #resumetips #resumehelp #resumedesign #resumebuilder #interviewcoaching #interviewtips #interviewquestions #landajob #jobs #jobinterview #careergoals
