Check out this great program that's running free of charge March 11 and 15th Moving Together, While Apart - A community engagement initiative of Guelph Dance w dance artist Meredith Thompson The hope is that these workshops will help to brighten people’s spirits and tap into their natural appetite for moving. Who is this for? This workshop is open to participants of all ages and all abilities. The movement directives will be open-ended and adaptable, and therefore determined ...by participants' own comfort levels and abilities. Children younger than 6 may not be able to stay as engaged but are welcome to join with other people in the family What is needed to participate? A fun idea from the U of G and Creative Encounters with Science We want to get people, families, and students to take a photo of their pet with a single numerical digit (many 2 or 3 different ones would help). Then we are going to order photos in order of the digits of pi and make an image of the first 100 digits (or more) of Pi all with pets. Our pets have been with us through lockdown & still have energy to do math! Post them on Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #PetsExplainPi OR you can submit them on the Creative Encounters website.
