Winnipeg Halloween is always filled with fun and adventure that both the youngsters and their parents seem to look forward to with excitement each and every year. This year, was our first time to scour our own neighborhood for treats (or trick); well, luckily each door that opens has some treats for our young ones instead of a trick. We then proceeded to our usual route at around the Maples area where families and relatives are then ended the night with the Halloween [ 148 more words ] http://www.lifeinwinnipeg.com/winnipeg-halloween-2018/
Just the other day, as we were going about our day errands we had a rather unfavorable experience with whom we may describe as a moron. This guy was driving a yellow utility truck right behind our vehicle as we where about to make a left on Sargent Ave. and Toronto St. After I made the turn, I parked our car on the vacant street side parking right at the corner of the two streets. Bad attitude? Of course, no one will admit to having a bad attitude but a bad attitude isn't simply about being mean to other people, swindling or committing crimes. A bad attitude can refer to many things, like how you spend your time, your attitude toward decision making, spending and keeping money and on and on. Financially, a lot of people don't go anywhere due simply to the fact that they have a bad attitude toward money, work, and opportunities. I like almost everything a Samsung phone has to offer like the Android OS, office apps, the sleek design and all the bells and whistles you just can't find on an Iphone. What I hate most about my Samsung S3? Battery inefficiency! Charge it 100% in the morning and it dies down by the end of the day even if you didn't make any calls on it - don't get me wrong, the battery's in top shape. If you're like most Manitobans, summer means long road trips, beaches, and visiting a whole lot a different places in, around and outside Canada. A completely different world than what you're used to here in Winnipeg is a place called Minneapolis. Minneapolis is dubbed as "the larger of the Twin Cities and "the 14th-largest metropolitan area in the United States, containing approximately 3.8 million residents." and is only about eight to nine hour drive from Winnipeg, much like going to Saskatchewan but again, it's a completely different world! Late lunch... one Sunday afternoon. We somehow grew tired of the usual, so we explored Regent and found: Famous Dave's! Where they encourage people to literally "eat like a pig". The place was packed, so we waited for a seat... Einstein was here... Let's take a selfie We were still waiting... This sign, made us more hungry. It's TIME! One of the most serious problems most working class in Winnipeg are concerned about is work shortage and job-insecurity. In Winnipeg, we can't deny the fact that for most of us, we're only as good as the last day we went to work. I know how it feels to be laid off from a job as I experienced it first-hand, realizing that this nightmare isn't that far away and that no matter how good you are at a job - you can get laid off and may not even get an advanced notice, taking you by surprise.
