Are you feeling discomfort in your lower back, or knees and ankles? The piriformis muscle, located deep beneath the gluteal muscles, might be the culprit. This muscle plays an important role in hip flexibility and stability, so giving it a good stretch can help relieve that tightness! Lie down, bend one knee upwards and cross it over your other leg while gently pulling, and hold for 30sec-1min and release. Try out three sets, three times a day, and feel the relief! #TuesdayTip

If you've ever received a concussion, you know how unpleasant an experience it is. The recovery process isn't always a walk in the park either, but a concussion assessment and physiotherapy can help the treatment process https://bit.ly/2OjUueY

This season can feel isolating at the best of times, but with COVID-19 restrictions tightening across the country as the pandemic approaches the 1-year mark, these feelings are definitely stronger. It's important to treat yourself well and know that you're not the only one feeling this way. Find new ways to connect virtually with friends, like a virtual movie club or online games. Looking for ways to give to others in your community can also help with feeling connected during this time of year. #TuesdayTip

While "the third Monday of January is the most depressing day of the year" is a rather dubious claim, so-called Blue Monday remains a good occasion to raise awareness of the mental health challenges of the season. The combination of Seasonal Affective Disorder symptoms and post-holiday blues can make this time tough, but there are some useful tips to help you out https://bit.ly/39wGuoC

As the weather gets colder and gyms remain closed, the motivation to workout at home can be difficult to build up. That's where fitness challenges can come in handy, especially if you get the whole family involved! https://www.thestar.com//my-fitness-levels-took-a-dive-und

As we age, it becomes more likely that we will suffer a fall, which can often result in injuries like wrist fractures or head trauma. It's not inevitable, though! There are steps you can take to reduce your risk factors as you age https://bit.ly/3nDGDMg #PreventFalls

Have you taken up running to stay active while gyms are closed? Is shin pain starting to slow you down? You can take steps to relieve this pain by resting your legs or trying less intense exercise, replacing running shoes if they're worn down, or putting ice on the sore spots. Stretch and strengthen your calves and ankles too! #TuesdayTip
