Yeaaaaaahhhhhhhh! Workout number 83, an arbitrary number, but you know what it means? It means I’m making progress. I used to think I had to hussle my ass for workouts 5-7 days a week, but no way not anymore. ... Now did I get great results when I did all those hard, jumping, depleting workouts? Yep I sure did, but you know what else happened? Once I got there I stopped because I was so burnt out from kicking my own ass. I stopped because I hated jumping up and down and peeing myself all the time. And I hurt. Now my workouts with @pelvic_floor_secrets I lift heavy weight supported by my strong core and no longer have hip and back pain, and seldom pee myself. Oh and I’m stronger then when I busted my ass all the time. My why changed. My how changed. It’s true when they say that small steps eventually become big steps. No more going full out to just burn out. Instead I will continue taking small steps. It’s not a race. It’s a lifestyle. Here’s to a long weekend of going nowhere, Ontario! #workoutsmyway #pelvicfloorexercises #nomorepeeingyourpants #ifeelgood #moveyourbody #iamstrong #trainyourcore #itsnotaboutabs #nsv #nonscalevictory

Here’s me conquering leg curls with a balance ball. (Yes it seems childish, but I beat it and I’m childishly proud of it!) It’s something I have been working on for a few months. At first my core and hamstrings weren’t strong enough and I could hardly do 4, then I started getting stronger and can now do 12! This might seem like a small thing, but to me, celebrating small wins is where it’s at! All the little things come together to equal great successes, but if we don’t cele...brate the tiny victories, we don’t see how far we’ve come and the big wins seem almost anticlimactic. Oh and I sneezed while squatting yesterday and I didn’t pee myself - that’s HUGE! Cheers to you and your pelvis- focussed core strength training Pelvic Floor Secrets I wouldn’t be doing any of this without you. #pelvicfloorexercises #smallwinsmatter #nomorepain #nomoreleaking #feelingstrong #personaltrainer #wrawesome #fixyourcore #feelgreat

Today I’m celebrating I’ve been doing regular workouts for months, sometimes once a week and sometimes the prescribed three times a week. I’ve been consistent. Today marks three weeks of doing all three workouts each week, plus adding in lots of walks, bike rides and some kayaking. Feels great to move! Three weeks ago I started a gut recovery program that, brace yourselves, may take me several months to achieve optimum gut health. It required me to give up all my food and ...drink vices with an end goal to feel better and ultimately improve my immunity and long term health. At first my head told me I couldn’t possibly give up sugar, caffeine, alcohol and processed foods for the length of time required, especially during this pandemic. But then I decided to change my mind. To look at it differently and really ask myself what the vices were doing for me, and where would I land when all this was over? Well let’s just say I’m glad I chose to treat myself better and begin my inside out transformation. As a bonus I have the incredible support of two local small business friends to help me get where I want to go. Huge kudos to Nicole at Pelvic Floor Secrets and my nutritionist Joanne at Clean Living Nutrition & Wellness It’s amazing what we can do when we decide what we want. I wanted to feel vibrant again, this pandemic’s kicking my ass. As an extra bonus my mental health has improved as a result of my efforts, and my waistline is decreasing too. I recently wrote a blog about my experience starting the gut recovery, you can find the link here: https://lifeofchristined.ca/f/indulgently-overloaded-thanks #feelgood #gutrecovery #moveyourbody #ichooseme #mentalhealth #smallbusinesssupport #womeninbusiness #weighttraining #pelvichealth #imworthit

New blog post! I don’t know about you, but scrolling through any social media these days gives me anxiety. All the anger, fighting, and finger pointing is not for the faint of heart. Better be careful what you say or believe because a raging mob is coming after you. ... Why are we doing this? And do we realize what we are creating? More on that in the blog post, check it out through the link: https://lifeofchristined.ca/f/my-plea-to-the-human-race #leadwithlove #thinkbeforeyouink #pandemiclife #kindnessmatters

Today I really needed a hug. The balancing effects of nature are compelling. Nature always has the answer, no matter what your question or need is at the time. The unplug and reconnection with something outside of yourself, soaking up fresh air and the calmness the trees bring is absolutely healing. ... It truly doesn’t matter what your challenge is, being in nature will ALWAYS help you find the answer. And we need more of that right now. Do yourself a favour and get out there. Your day will coast as a result. Xoxo Christine #natureishealing #getoutside #naturelovers #getoutside #mentalwellness #begoodtoyou

Connection through challenges that women face today. I have lots of stories to tell, and as much as I could just keep writing and sharing, I want to be sure the topics are resonating. There was a lot of response to the gaslighting topic and it has me considering the direction I’d like to take our conversations, but I know there are other things that are of the utmost importance to you as a woman. (Fellas I’m not trying to leave you out, but the content of this page is directe...d at women) What are some things you are challenged with right now as a woman? If I can’t speak to these topics, I can certainly lean into other women who can. My goal is to ultimately help women to feel stronger, more aware and more self confident - and give you a place to land that is relatable so you know you’re not alone. Disclaimer - you won’t find me doing make up or hair tutorials here, it’s just not my thing. I want to talk about deeper topics that are important to you. Please comment below or send me a direct message with your ideas. Thank you in advance! Xoxo Christine
