Hey Lifesavers, Please take the time to read this amazing post we received today from a person who took their first aid training at Lifesaver 101. Thanks Dav...id for sharing! You really are a Lifesaver! "I just wanted to share a story I thought everyone who's ever been to Lifesaver 101 or thought of using it all or ever thought about whether or not to bother with CPR Training. August 5th 2017 my Fiance and I came home from a baseball tournament out of town around mid-afternoon. We were just starting to unpack and turned on the TV to watch an episode of Game of Thrones (I was trying to get my at the time girlfriend into the show). It was at this time that my fiance heard what we thought was children playing outside so we turned the TV up a little louder and continued watching. About 5 minutes later we both again heard the noise of what sounded like children playing outside when my fiance thought the noise might be coming from our tenants apartment downstairs. She convinced me to go downstairs and have a listen and sure enough there was some faint moaning/grunting. I knocked on the door a few times and wasn't getting a response from my middle-aged married couple downstairs. I then went upstairs and told my fiance to call 911 because I knew something was wrong, and I proceeded downstairs with my key to the apartment and walked on in. I found my Male tenant unresponsive and the wife in shock saying he was dead, and without thinking or freaking out the first thing that came to my mind was "I Know CPR, Let's just get Compression's going!". I had my fiance help me move him off the bed and onto the hard/flat surface of the floor. he wasn't breathing, had no pulse, so I started doing compression's for what seemed like 5 hours. Just as i heard a knock on the door and someone announcing "This is the fire department" or something along those lines, the person I was performing CPR on came back!!! He started coughing. At this point i realized I was still counting and was well into the 500's and my adrenaline was just coursing through my body. I just SAVED another human's life! My tenant made a full recovery, and the paramedic's/firefighters both told myself and my fiance that we did everything right, and this man is alive because of our actions, and the first thing I said was "Well it was because of what I remembered of my CPR Training". So Thank you to the wonderful staff at Lifesaver101 who not only gave great training but also made it fun which helped me retain so much of my training because it was actually quite enjoyable! My CPR actually just recently expired so you can be expecting to see myself and my fiance soon enough" :)h
Good evening wow it's the night before the big day, hoping you are starting to relax, don't stress on whether you have bought the right present, whether you hav...e enough, your journey's are planned and what you have it the right amount so no stressing before the big day, be there to love and to give a kind word, phone that special someone or someone you have not spoken to in awhile, say hello to the older gentleman or lady next door they may be lonely and their only happiness might be your hello or smile, this does not cost anything so go ahead and give it your all. Time for me to now relax and watch some TV then bed, it's a big day for a lot of people, ENJOY yourselves, leave worry's behind for another day, Cherish the day and moment.
