Due to Covid-19, Life’s Seasons Annual General Meeting which was originally scheduled for March 24th had to be cancelled. Considering the pandemic restrictions on group meetings at this time along with Life’s Seasons commitment to make our Annual General Meeting open and available for all who wish to attend, Life’s Seasons will be conducting our Annual General Meeting Virtually through Zoom on Wednesday, September 30th @ 7pm. We will be reviewing 2019, discussing the impact C...ovid-19 has had on us at Life’s Seasons, as well taking time to celebrate and remember Life's Seasons Co-founder Annette Miner. I still remember being in the middle of the road in front of my home crying. My Mom was essentially begging me to give Annette a call. I had no interest in talking to yet another person. You see I had already seen three different people previous to this and clearly was left unsatisfied. I reluctantly agreed to meet with her at the old Lakeshore Church building (first hurdle- I have to enter a church). I remember Annette greeting me and thinking to myself, Here we go, one las...t time! You see I had no intention of returning home that day. I had made up my mind that the world and everyone I loved were better off without me. Boy, was I wrong...my life was saved that day because of four words: You are completely normal! I remember spilling my soul out to Annette week after week through the moves to her garage, the new church and sometimes even her living room. She had a gift and a way of piecing things together so they made complete sense. I was normal and the way I chose to react or cope with my pain she simplified. She validated me and my feelings, but more than that she helped me see the big picture when all I could see was darkness. Annette saved my life and I have two beautiful children because I chose to take one last chance. Life Seasons is so much more than a counselling centre. It is a place where people come who have no hope left or meaning and leave felling validated and that maybe, just maybe there is a light and a way out of the darkness they find themselves in. I am here today because of Annette. Happy heavenly birthday love

I met Annette at Lambton College many many years ago. We were in the same CYW course. She said "Hello" and from there started an amazing incredible friendship. I have never laughed so hard... thought so hard... been challenged so much as I have in my friendship with Annette. Her friendship was solid and one of the greatest treasures in my world. Without a doubt one of the most amazing people I have ever met and will be forever one of my most favourite humans! This woma...n was one of the strongest, bravest and most genuine people I have ever met. She inspires me and has left a mark on my life forever. It was no accident our paths crossed so many years ago... I needed someone like her in my world... I am so much better for having known this incredible lady. I miss you "Squirrel"... there is a part of my world that will never be the same again without you. See more
