We just finished helping digitize Nicole's first super8 film. Nicole runs the Film & Analogue Department at Beau Photo. Check Nicole's comments about her experience in Beau Photo's August 2018 newsletter (under Nicole's section): http://www.beauphoto.com/wp-content/uploads/aug2018.pdf

Kieran McGreal recently sent us a testimonial illustrating the quality range of transfers..... "Lifetime Heritage Films did a wonderful job scanning my Super 8 film into HD. I had previously overpaid a company to do low-res video transfers using outdated telecine techniques. The results were akin to someone projecting my film onto a dirty bath towel, and then videotaping the projection with an early 90's camcorder. Having never shot Super 8, I just assumed that's what it was ...supposed to look like. Wrong. Suffice to say I was blown away when I got my scans back from LHF. My Ektachrome looked like what I would expect from Ektachrome; Instead of a washed out, blown out mess, I finally got to see the robust latitude of my film. The difference was so comically extreme that I had to include screen captures."

If you're in Vancouver on June 11, check out this showing at the VanCity Theatre. I saw this yesterday at a sold out showing and it was great to remind us of Vancouver in the early 60's. I especially enjoyed the three "A Day In The Life Of A ......" films of ordinary people and the film "City Song".

One of our customers, UBC's SCARP (School of Community and Regional Planning) has just shared with us the results of digitizing work that we did for their organization. SCARP just announced a new website show-casing the two UN Habitat conferences from 1976 (Vancouver) and 1996 (Istanbul). It is gratifying to see our work being shared...100's of mostly old 3/4" Umatic and a few Betacam tapes. Here's a link to the new website:... http://habitat.scarp.ubc.ca/ I must note that this project "has been made possible through a partnership between the School of Community and Regional Planning at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada, and the UN Habitat III Secretariat, with support from several archives and many individuals."...including our company, Lifetime Heritage Films Inc.
