EXTENDED to Monday, February 28, 2022 // After a five year hiatus, the Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto (LIFT)'s Production and Post-Production Support Grant returns! This year, to mark the Grant’s relaunch, each recipient will receive $2000 in credits to be put towards LIFT equipment and facilities rentals as well as $1000 in cash to support the project. The 2021 Support Grant is dedicated to the memory of Mara Da Costa Reis, a young Toronto actor, writer and fil...mmaker who passed away suddenly last February while she was in pre-production of her first short film. To celebrate Mara's independent and artistic spirit, her family encouraged those who knew her to donate to charities that shared Mara’s values. LIFT was one of those charities and over $7000 had been raised in her name. We are honoured to play a small part in celebrating the life and memory of this young artist. Extended Deadline: Monday, February 28, 2022 at 6:00pm ET Successful applicants will be notified by Friday, June 3, 2022 For information: https://lift.ca/support-grants Richard B Pierre Image Description: A photo of a person with curly hair holding a RED Pro camera rig on their shoulder.
