"What gets measured, gets managed." What do YOU measure and track? See, I'm a "numbers" guy, so I like to measure and quantify things.... Also, one of the key ideas I try to impress on clients is to be BEHAVIOUR-focused, rather than OUTCOME-focused. Because, after all, it is your daily behaviours that will lead your desired end results Putting all that together means I set a target number of workouts that I'd like to complete for the year. I finished #2020 with 213 workouts, 3 over my goal of 210. This is something I started "measuring" a few years ago and have enjoyed the challenge of hitting my yearly workout total. For me, it helps keep me on track, and I don't get discouraged when I've gone a week without lifting because I know in the grand scheme of the year I will hit my target. Now, 213 is the new goal for #2021. Today will be 1/213. Set a goal. Start a plan. Measure the progress. See more

Stuck at home for your workouts?? Try this plank variation It's called the "Bear." ... Get on all fours, and set up so your feet are flat against the wall. Looking down at your hands, keep your nose past your fingertips, and round your back slightly. Try to keep the position (nose past fingers, back rounded) and lift your knees off the ground just an inch or 2. Slowly inhale through your nose, and breathe out through your lips, with a looooooonnnnggg exhale. Tip: To feel it even more in your abs, put a towel under your heels and press those towels hard into the wall.
