Today Ralph our sewing machine technician was here doing machine maintenance. This is inside one of the machines. This poor machine needed a very good clean out after only 6 months of useage! It is important to have your machine serviced at least once a year. BUT YOU CAN clean the lint out of your machine regularly. Ralph comes to visit once a month. He also sharpens scissors and can work on sergers too
We have a couple of opening on Wednesday to have you machines clean and serviced. Anyone interested please call the store 705 887 4848

Here is the winner of the contest regarding nominate a nurse or a PSW Who would deserve this quilt Oure Winner is Susan Browning and here are her Letters The Lil' Wee Quilt Shoppe Nurses Quilt Contest Winner is SUSAN BROWNIE Quilt made by and donated Ursula Weller These were E-mails that were sent to the store in the nomination of Susan I would like to nominate Susan Brownie for the draw ,she is a great PSW and has a lot of compactions for all her elderly and sick patients ...she goes above and be one her duties ,working a lot of extra hours to make sure all patients getting a visit in covid 19 and lot of clients call her there sunshine of the day thank u Esther Giddings 2nd e-mail I would like to nominate Susan Brownie who devotes more of her time to her work then most PSW’s. Sue is the one who everyone calls and will take the extra hours when someone needs time off, she will go in on her time off if needed, she never says no. She cares about her clients quality of life and their needs, she will have a caring conversation with them and enjoys the odd good laugh with them. It’s not just a job to her and she has seen many clients who have no family so she makes them feel like her family by making sure they have the things they need. Sue is 62, a single mom with two daughters who still live at home with her, she loves quilts and what little spare time she has, she likes to curl up, relax and enjoy the things she has worked so hard for over the years. Susan is my sister and during the beginning of the Covid outbreak, she put her clients before family by deciding to do her job and not take the benefits. I have numerous autoimmune diseases and she knew that she would not be able to see me if she continued to work because of the risk to me. She also knew she was putting her girls at risk and discussed the risk with them but her girls know how much she cares about her clients. They asked her to be safe, careful and do what she does best, care for those who need her and give them the respect they deserve during this time of need. The quilt would mean a lot to her and when and if she retires, it will be something that will remind her of how much devotion and dedication she put into her job. Sincerely Sharon Magee congrats Susan
