I’ve been having a great time playing around with ingredients, formulas, processes and creating new & exciting combinations in my lab! As you can see in this eye gel experiment, not everything works out perfectly the first time (or the 2nd or 3rd...) and that’s simply part of the formulating and learning process. While the deeper colour is beautiful, you can see that the Dragon’s Blood resin powder ended up a bit ‘clumpy’ and not evenly dispersed. By revising my process sequ...encing and also adding in a filtration step, the clumps are gone. Now, not only do I have a gel with skin-benefitting and nourishing ingredients, I also have a clear, beautiful looking (and smelling!) product.
