How to have a CEO mindset in your business. A couple of months ago one of my mentors @sauceyspice talked about this topic and it got me thinking about my business Mindset. So I dove deep into the topic and I want to share my cliff notes with you. ... Here are three things that stood out to me. 1.YOU NEED TO MAKE TIME TO PLAN. I suggest starting with bi-weekly plan days or blocks of time. Mark yourself as busy in your Calendar so nothing sneaks in. Treat it just like you would treat a meeting with another person!! Use this time to look at your: long-term goals quarterly goals New ideas / dreams you’d like to accomplish. 2.ARE YOU SAYING YES TO EVERYTHING? An employee says yes to whatever lands in front of them, a CEO says no in order to have time for more important yesses! As business owners, we have so many opportunities! It’s hard to figure out which direction we should take, especially when we say yes to everything! Before taking on that new project ask yourself: Why am I saying yes? Does this align with my ultimate goal(s) as a business owner? 3.BEGIN LETTING GO. Do you find yourself micromanaging every detail? That’s the mindset of an employee, not a CEO. CEO’s are able to let go of the reigns. They realize that they need OTHER people’s skills to grow their treat/company CEOs can’t do it all!! Having a CEO mindset might not come naturally to some of us but it’s absolutely necessary for our your business!! As a licensed hairstylist this was uncharted territory for me. I Had no social media following and knew diddly-squat about network marketing. But I taught myself how to do it. Thanks to google, podcasts and the training that is provided. I really wanted this business to work because I didn’t want to go back to busting my butt behind the chair with my baby in daycare. What I could see was the potential and the opportunity. Something beyond what being a salon owner could provide for me. So I went for it. Now I work while Beau naps. Many of you know I’m a hairstylist and I closed my salon to open a studio in my home. The plan was to spend more time with my new baby..But I have to tell you something It became lonely I was working long days, every weekend and was completely burnt out when it finally came time for my time off.... When I was off work I was in mom mode cleaning dirty diapers with no time for me. When Monat came into my life I was shocked at how supportive everyone is. I was so used to keeping to myself and NO one ever asked if I need help. This crew is different. We support each other personally and professionally.
