New spot to shop

With the new gathering limits, an SOP (special occasion permit) was applied for today for the annual Limerick Lake Lodge licensed event. It will be August 15th. Derek Morris confirmed this evening that he is going to be here to play. More details to follow shortly. The party is ON.

A bit of sad news this evening. Family member and long time Limerick Lake cottager, Paul Kieper from Cincinnati, OH passed away this evening after a 6 year battle with cancer. Paul lived a full life with a career that spanned from NASCAR to Baldwin Piano. A fun guy with life stories that could entertain for hours. The photo is from a houseboating trip we took together to Lake Powell, Utah in 2003.

Marina assistant was a little late for work on Saturday. She was up early working on another project.

After a number of weeks of confusion, the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing announced on June 4th that accommodations for tourism can open. We are operating the housekeeping cabins that have full bathrooms, and taking reservations for the lodge for groups of up to 5 people. Call (613-474-2144 ext 1) or e-mail to make your reservation. The opening weekend of bass season has almost filled up in just one afternoon.
