Attention all members! The Senior Center has opened back up for room rentals!! We will have our regular Wednesday meeting on August 19th from 7-9pm. Due to required Phase 3 spacing we will now be meeting in the larger Frontenac Room. Masks are mandatory! See you there!

Something new from member Gord Ireland. Gordo likes to build lots of different kits. Armour, Aircraft, Sci-Fi and even a car model! Here is another awesome creation!!

Here are three models from a guy who is definitely our most prolific builder, Gord Ireland. Gordo nailed a couple of Ecuadorian AF models for his South America group build! Well tomorrow would have have been the April meeting so we thought we'd put up some pics of the group build we were supposed to be unveiling tomorrow. As promised here are the incredible finished kits some of our members brought to our last meeting in February. Meetings will be scheduled when the Seniors Center is reopened. It’s a good time to hunker down and get some kits built!! Have fun and stay safe!!

Attention all LCMC Members!!!! Due the Covid-19 pandemic the Kingston Seniors Center is closed until the Province deems it safe to gather again. I will be posting the pics of the February meeting shortly. I would encourage members to take pictures of their work and email them to me at [email protected] and i will post them for you. Attention all LCMC Members!!!! The Kingston Seniors Center has been closed until at least Monday April 6th!! Therefore, our March meeting is cancelled. Next scheduled meeting is April 15th. We hope to unveil our group build "South America" themed models then. In the meantime everyone stay safe and healthy! Tony

Important Notice!! As of today, March 13th, the meeting on March 18th at the Seniors Center is still a go. With the COVID-19 Virus things change hourly so look for updates to come. This is the release from the management at the Seniors Center. Please read before you come to the meeting: Dear Renters, So far it is business as usual at the Seniors Center. We have stepped-up our disinfecting of touch surfaces and furniture, etc. and installed extra hand sanitizer dispense...rs. We ask you to pass the word on to your participants that, if they are even a little bit sick, DO NOT COME TO THE CENTER. The building is primarily used by seniors who are very vulnerable to infection. If children are attending your event, we ask that parents keep a close eye on them and try to keep them from touching too many things (as a parent myself I know how difficult that can be!). We are currently following the guidance of Kingston Public Health and will remain open until instructed otherwise. If you wish to cancel/suspend your rental (or already have) I understand that fully. There will be no penalties and your places will be held for you. With hopes for a speedy return to normal. Maggie Marrelli

Well it’s a new year at LCMC and we kicked it off with a great January meeting. The gang is working diligently toward our group build South America that is due in April. That, however, didn’t stop some members from bringing in some awesome models as shown below!! We have lots of room in our club if you’d like to join our merry group. Photo cred to Vik J!!

December Post 2: I have some more great photos of beautiful kits taken by Vik J at our December meeting. Our January meeting is on Wednesday the 15th at The Senior Center - The Lasalle Room from 7-9pm. We’d love for you to come and check it out!! If you want to join us, membership is $40/yr which covers our room rental. You can learn the tricks we use to build great looking plastic models! Here are examples of some of the awesome kits our members brought in this month:

We had a wonderful LCMC Christmas Party/December meeting on Dec. 18th. As well as fine dining on Pizza and Soda we also got in our "Dog" models group build for review. For those who don't know our Dogs are models from the very bottom of our un-built model collection. We bring in one, pile them together than we take turns picking out a dog to build. Obviously, you can't build the kit you brought in. This is the second time round with our "Dog Contest" and they turned out pretty good! Our next group build due in April is "South America". Lots of interesting things to choose from!! I will be sending out another post shortly with the beautiful "non-Dogs" that also were brought in by members in December.

Here are some pics from an awesome November meeting!! In case you’ve been wondering why the pictures have been so incredible over the past few months, it is because Viktor Jutasi has taken over the photo duties from me. Big meeting next month with our annual Pizza party and Dog Kits are due. Memberships are due at the January meeting. $40/year is what we need to keep our wonderful space at the Seniors Centre!!
