Limestone Street Scene 13.01.2021

Hello everyone! We hope you've all been keeping safe during these strange times we are living in and have kept busy on all of your Winter/Spring projects. We are excited to hear that slowly but surely Ontario seems to be coming out of lock-down and we may eventually be seeing some semblance of a Summer at some point in the hopefully not too distant future. What does this mean for car meets? Well that is still to be seen, as of right now any forming of a large gathering would be seen as illegal and would likely result in large fines for all parties involved so for the time being we hang tight. Keep wrenching on those projects and we will keep you updated with things as more information is released!

As many may have heard about the incredibly cowardly bullying incident at NDSS. A great group of people have organized a car show to support the young student involved who is a huge car fan. If you’re looking for something great to do tomorrow please stop by and check it out to show your support for the young man involved.

Well today could not have been any better of a season ender. Perfect weather, excellent cruise conditions and some great food and time with friends to top it all off. Season after season this community continues to grow and improve, mature and come closer together. Just want to thank all of our great members for continuing to make Limestone Street Scene what it is today, There is a reason why our group is one of, if not THE longest running automotive group in Kingston sti...ll extremely active today. We are looking forward to big things next season and as always more meets, more events and a continually growing population of new automotive enthusiasts in the YGK! Stay safe this winter guys and girls, we will keep you updated through the winter months with anything new we have going on for 2020! ------- All Photo Credit: Emilio Ciccarelli (TWOLITREmedia) IG: @twolitremedia Please tag TWOLITREmedia in all posts and make sure to leave watermarks. Holy moly, she’s gunna be a good one. We’re rolling about 80 deep this year! If you missed us for the cruise no worries, meet us there!

Limestone Street Scene 22.11.2020

*IMPORTANT INFO FOR CRUISE!* So Petro Can is still under major construction so today instead of lingering around the Petro parking lot after filling up with gas and clogging up their lot please head across the street! See everyone out at Petro Can at 11:00 today! We will be trying to leave for the cruise by 11:30. Just a reminder that Spud Box was moved to the off ramp at Napanee off the 401 so we will be eating at Gala’s Pit Stop in Kaladar. Gala’s is just down the road... from our normal spot on 41 and their address is 113047 Highway #7 in case you get left behind or lost/separated along the way! The route we will be taking will be heading to Napanee and ripping straight up 41! If you would like to take a different route you prefer be our guest. If it’s anything like last year the group is so large that we will likely get split up a few times during the journey. Drive safe and we can’t wait to see everyone out today!

Limestone Street Scene 05.11.2020

Friendly reminder that our 2019 LSS Official Season Ender Burger Cruise! is THIS SUNDAY! We hope to see everyone at Petro Canada at the end of Gardiners Road by the on-ramp to 401 for 11:00! If you are not THERE by 11:30 then you may miss the group cruise out so please BE ON TIME! Feel free to PM Emilio Ciccarelli for any questions you may have. See everyone out there!

** THANK YOU FOR ATTENDING THE UNION - YEAR FOUR ** To say yesterday went off without a hitch would be an understatement. We saw over 350 cars pass through our... gates over the course of the day and saw the lot packed front to back from 10:00 - 4:00 all the way through. We can not say thank you enough for attending and making The Union Autofest what it is. It started as just a passion mixed with an idea and has grown into something that we hope really makes this city of ours proud. Gigantic thank you to all the sponsors for all of your continued support. It is integral to have your involvement to really make this thing tick and it is appreciated by all. We are excited to grow the sponsor list with more and more great companies and teams to. Massive massive thank you to our entire The Union Autofest - Year Four volunteer team. These guys work ALL DAY from the wee hours of 6:30 in the morning all the way to 5:30 at night long after everyone has left the lot to make this thing happen. Without this staff we could never even consider trying to bring this to fruition. Congratulations to all winners of the trophy classes and the SimWerks Fastest Lap Time Attack Battle! It was a heated race all day long and everyone had a blast. We will be working closely with this crew to continue to offer some awesome events/features in coming years involving everything sim racing! Last but not least Braille Battery Canada and Grafoid Inc. continue to provide us with the foundation of the meet. Without their location and organization on all the back end things like insurance, security, lot maintenance etc this would be a near impossible feat. Big thank you for continuing to be our principle sponsor. Anyone who missed out on being able to grab one of our brand new The Union Autofest hoodies because we ran out so fast, fear not! We will be stocking these along with new stickers and lanyards all year round and will be running the next print soon to make sure everyone is cozy for winter. Keep an eye open for this happening soon! A special call out to all of the crews/teams/groups that made the drive out to The Union this year including Trackwerks, Nuffsaid Society "Ontario"Canada, Alliance Car and Truck Club, Limestone Modified, Limestone Street Scene, YGK Subies, YGK WEAPONS and many many more. That's about it guys, now we sit back and just enjoy the steady flow of content that we will see coming to the page for the next week or two. We can't wait to see Simply In Action Photography and Mount Media's aftermovie and principle photo coverage of the event! ------------------ Our Incredible Year Four Sponsor list one more time! ** THE MEET IS RAIN OR SHINE....BUT IT WILL SHINE! ** Just to answer once and for all as we know many people are wondering the meet will be rain or shine tomorrow! The forecast is improving by the hour and we are looking good all day! See everyone bright and early in the morning!

Limestone Street Scene 28.07.2020

** REGISTRATIONS OFFICIALLY CLOSED ** We have officially closed registrations for this year's show. We will see everyone tomorrow! Don't forget the line in th...e morning get's insanely long so make sure to get there early if you are looking to try to be one of the first 125 **registered** cars to get a free shirt and sticker! For anyone who has not yet watched it please find the lot tour video post below and watch it! Familiarize yourself with the layout and how to come in and out! We're excited to see everyone rolling through those gates tomorrow! Keep an eye out for more exciting announcements tonight highlighting some of the stuff we have going on tomorrow! www.TheUnionAutofest.com for more information about the meet. The gates open for cars coming into the meet for 10:00am and 11:00 for the public.

Limestone Street Scene 11.07.2020

** VEHICLE REGISTRATIONS CLOSE AT 6:00PM TONIGHT! ** What does this mean? If you miss registrations, don't panic! All this means is you will not be one of the ...first 125 *registered* vehicles in the gate to win a free shirt and sticker. You can absolutely still bring your car into the meet and have a great time. If you are planning to buy T-Shirts and hoodies the day of please make sure to get to the booth as early as possible to try and insure we will have your size. Last year some sizes ran out in less than an hour of doors being open as the big rush at the beginning along with 125 free shirts being redeemed consumes many of the available shirts we have. We also still have our Facebook giveaway running till 6:00pm tonight where we will pick a winner to award a free The Union - Year Four swag pack containing a T-Shirt, Lanyard, and sticker so make sure you like that post below, share it and enter for your chance to win!

*** THE UNION - YEAR FOUR TROPHY CATEGORIES *** We have always strived to make our meet very casual and non-competitive but we also know people love their troph...ies so we have expanded our award categories! Each category will be judged by multiple judges specializing in their class and we will try to keep the judging as non-bias and fair as humanly possible! Good luck to everyone and we can't wait to see you all lined up tomorrow morning! Trophy Categories: Viewer's Choice Award Baddest JDM/KDM Baddest Euro Baddest Truck/ATV/SUV Baddest Domestic Baddest Classic Baddest Group Presence (Awarded to Largest Group at the meet) Baddest Exotic Low Car Limbo Winner Clown Car Award (This will be awarded to the car that fits the most bodies on their vehicle and still being able to pass under the bar! Let's see how crazy this can get!) ** Viewer's Choice Award Rules ** The way we will be doing our viewer's choice awards this year is not entirely different then what we have done before. The main difference is that this year to be entered into our closing ceremony raffle draw you MUST go to our booth and submit a Viewer's Choice ballot filled out which you will be handed in the morning rolling through the gate. When you hand in your ballot you will fill out your give-a-way ballot and drop it in the bucket. This will allow us to read out names for the winners at the end of the meet instead of raffle numbers while also getting more people active in the viewer's choice award! DON'T FORGET. REGISTRATIONS WILL CLOSE ON OUR SITE AT 6:00PM. YOU CAN STILL BRING YOUR CAR THROUGH THE GATES IF YOU ARE NOT REGISTERED YOU JUST WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE TO WIN A FREE T-SHIRT FOR BEING THE FIRST 125 THROUGH THE GATES IN THE MORNING! ------------------------- As always huge thanks to this years sponsors, without these guys we could not make this happen so show them some love and check out everything they bring to this great community! Great meet on Sunday guys! Didn't have my camera out for very long so didn't get too many photos. We wanted to bring up an issue that needs addressing even though it doesn't have anything to do with us directly but everyone should be aware. Apparently police are having some disturbance issues in the general west end of town on Sundays to the point that it looks like they are beginning to station themselves around the area to try and follow up on some of these complaints. ...We fully support the extra surveillance looking for people who are being unsafe, loud, dangerous or anything else out of taste with normal street driving. We can't do anything to police our members outside of the lot but do not get it confused for a moment we openly welcome authorities to be coming into our meets if necessary to speak with people who are behaving badly. Just remember that any time you do something stupid you are not only representing yourself poorly but the entire group as well. Thank you to the people who continue to be safe, quite and respectful on a weekly basis so we can continue to make these meets happen! *Please tag @twolitremedia if you repost these images on FB or IG!

Great meet tonight everyone minus the actions of a couple of individuals who will be spoken to separately as the majority of the group has been on top behaviour for the last three weeks of meets. We appreciate everyone keeping things under control, it's what let's us keep showing up weekend after weekend to the same spot! Here are some photos I shot while I was walking around tonight including the couple of rig edits from the contraption I had attached to Ryan Thomson's beau...tiful Z. Big thanks to him for being my first guinea pig getting back into the rig game on my new setup, it's been almost 8 years since I've rigged a car! Sorry I didn't get more photos of everyone's cars, the rigging kept me busy for the majority of the night. Follow me on Instagram at @twolitremedia for more automotive content all summer long! Last night went off without a hitch. We can't thank you guys enough for keeping the noise levels down and remaining respectful in the lot last night. I think yesterday was a perfect example of what this car scene can be with regular attendees knowing the rules and following them, but not only that doing some self-policing within the group as well. Easier for 100 people to hold each other accountable then it is for one person to hold 100 people accountable. Anywaysssss on t...o more fun stuff. As most people saw I was running around with the robot in my hands last night (aka Gimbal) as I wanted to shoot video instead of photo. Nick Leclerc was kind enough to fill in for me manning the helm for some photos which I will release in the next couple of days as I receive them. For now, kick back and enjoy the edit. This is really one of my first kicks at the cat with a modern edit like this so criticism is welcome. You will see my work improve as the year goes on in terms of video. *PLEASE READ CAREFULLY* Ok so here we are, LSS Week #2. A chance to show up, put on another great meet...with less shenanigans. The majority of people who were acting out last week have been spoken to and all understand there were mistakes made. We can all move on like adults from events like these but it's how we conduct ourselves in the future that dictates whether we learned from these mistakes or not. I CAN NOT STRESS ENOUGH we are lucky to have the blessing of several ...of the surrounding businesses to host the meets in their parking lot but it is important to respect both their property and equally as important, their customers. This includes things like leaving garbage in the parking lots, noise pollution from unnecessarily revving vehicles, and creating an unsafe environment for pedestrians by driving erratically. If you see any of the above behaviour either ask them kindly to stop or pick up their garbage OR if you are not comfortable doing so just approach one of the meet organizers like Cole or Emilio and they would be happy to ask the person to stop without you needing to be part of the conflict resolution at all while still being part of helping with a solution. We understand there are many new people joining our local scene every year/week/day and many do not know the struggles of the group in the last 20 years of the organization being around but spots that welcomed groups like ares are hard to come by and we have experienced our fair share of grief in the past. We are not looking to re-home our group and we love the businesses around us so let's just tighten up ship and put on a great display for the public that will inevitably catch wind of the meets and come to visit. With all of that being said for the size of our group it still amazes me how well things do go for the majority of the time at the meet. People are generally respectful and everyone enjoys having a look around the lot. Let's try to practice more behaviour like this and we should be able to continue growing this community n a positive direction for years to come. See everyone at the usual spot at 8:00pm as per usual! We do ask that people clear out of the lot by around 11:00 if possible as we don't want to be loitering too long after hours for no reason. If you want to stay out, head over to your groups local Tim Hortons and continue your evening there! Thank you! - The Admin Team / The Entire Community

Limestone Street Scene 19.07.2019

Without a doubt tonight was the largest meet LSS has ever seen in the history of the 20+ years. At one given time we saw counts of 160+ cars and we filled up almost the entire parking lot. It's nice to see the community growing in such a positive way and for the most part people were extremely respectful of the surrounding businesses and the noise was kept to a minimum. Those who probably made too much noise...you know who you are. We'll see everyone out every Sunday at 8:0...0pm, same place for the rest of the season. Make sure to show some love to the surrounding businesses before and after the meet! *Tag your friends. All photo credits are Emilio Ciccarelli from TWOLITREmedia. Looking nice for now, see everyone in an hour! Please make sure to drive respectably and keep the noise down please. The rest of the group thanks you

Limestone Street Scene 28.06.2019

Alright so we know everyone is wondering what is happening with the meet tonight because of the weather and this is what we've decided. Tonight will be rain or shine! The drizzles are supposed to start at 7pm even though it's beautiful out right now. If the turnout is weak tonight we will be "rescheduling" the official opener to next Sunday. We will be shooting photos and possibly some video tonight regardless of the weather! See everyone at 8:00pm!

Limestone Street Scene 18.06.2019

** OFFICIAL SEASON OPENER MEET ** Well it's that time of the year again, the time to wash that thick nasty layer of dust/grime off the project from the winter months and meet us out at our season opener meet! As everyone who has been around the block knows this is always the largest meet of the season and if you are going to make it out to one, it should be this one! We will be holding the first meet of the season on May 19th, 2019 at 8:00 at our usual spot in the parking ...between Tint World and St.Louis at 625 Fortune Crescent. We wanted to do it on the 12th but unfortunately that is mothers day so we figured it would be a better turnout a week later. There will be a Facebook Event created for this to have everyone share and stay updated! There will be plenty of people out shooting photos along with another attempt at a season opening video assuming the weather is permitting! **** DISCLAIMER: Please understand that this parking lot we have been meeting in for the past four years now has continued to grow and develop with new businesses and occupants in the surrounding buildings. We are privileged to still have a place to meet on a weekly basis that doesn't give us grief so please make sure to respect the spot, pick up your garbage and most importantly drive safe and as quietly as possible around the lot. No burnouts, no revving excessively. Noise solution will surely be one of the quickest ways to get us kicked out of the spot completely. We thank you in advance and as a community it's up to us to keep ourselves in check. If you see something that you know is wrong either address it or approach another member about it. See everyone on the 19th at 8:00pm!

Limestone Street Scene 04.06.2019

Another successful year in the books for the lineage of Limestone Street Scene! This years cruise was bigger and better then ever with a turnout of around 65 cars in total! We'd like to thank everyone who continues to take part in the LSS community events. Things like our cruises and The Union Autofest really sets us apart from the majority of the remaining "car groups" left in Ontario. We want to mention that there will continue to be LSS meets until the end of October ...officially, but moving into November we ask that people no longer meet in our normal parking lot on Sundays until next year. We know people have begun forming smaller local car meets/groups in town which we absolutely want to encourage. Let us know if your smaller car group is having an event/meet and we would be happy to help advertise. Lots to look forward to for 2019 (including no more e-tests!) and we can't wait to updated everyone with the plans moving forward. If you have anything left on the LSS forums at limestonestreetscene.ca that you wanted to save for any reason, we suggest you go ahead and grab them now as the forums will be official shut down by the end of the year. As with the majority of other automotive forums of days past, it's time to shut down the LSS forums and create an informative web space to help keep members informed next year for things like events and schedules all season long. Thanks again for the great memories this year LSS, the admin team looks forward to another great year next year! Enjoy TWOLITREmedia's photos from today's cruise, please send us your photos if you managed to get any for us to share!
