Been at this welding thing a while. I got into it to get out of it but here I am over 15 years later, running a business and teaching it. I have a lot of love and respect for the things it has taught me, the places it has taken me and most importantly the people I've been fortunate enough to work alongside. It was great to be a part of the #skills2020 competition today. To see these youngsters with the fire in their eye that looks and feels very familiar to is a feeling that resonates deep. It's awesome to see young people looking forward and willing to work. It's hard to describe the value you create for yourself when you overcome the challenges involved in trades work.
