Limeys! Christmas Day Part 1 is tomorrow, Saturday, November 21st PLEASE read the information below It's COVID. We hate it as much as you do but please be patient and kind to your fellow Limeys! We are allowed 9 people in the shop at a time and will be strictly adhering to this. Masks are Mandatory now, for everyone's safety.... We would strongly suggest you wrapped up warm in case you do have to wait for a few minutes outside! We are open from 10-5pm tomorrow! Whatever we don't sell tomorrow will stay out on the shelves until it does sell - the next Christmas batch will be out on the shelves on December 5th. This isn't necessarily the same or different from tomorrow's goodies, so if you see something you like - buy it tomorrow! All Advent Calendars will be out tomorrow. And finally (because lots of you are asking) - we are STILL waiting for the IH Licence so we can sell our pies and meats, No - we don't have marmite yet, we expect that won't be replenished until at least the new year now and no, we are not open on Sunday - we unashamedly take that day for our families MERRY CHRISTMAS LIMEYS! THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT!

OMG Limeys!!! You guys are crazy! We ran out of most of our Crisps again but have restocked with everything our supplier had! Still no more Monster Munch or Hula Hoops but lots of Walkers!! C’mon by! If you’re in a queue we are looking for a gas heater for outside!!! We love you guys

Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours

We've hired 3 new amazing people this week! Welcome, Michael, Ruby and Denise to join Jenny (and Molly our volunteer) at team Limey! Molly is volunteering her time to get work experience at Limey, and we can't thank her enough. Michael is from Belfast, such an awesome guy. Ruby is fresh into Kelowna and so excitably English, we love her, Denise's father is from Scotland and we love her enthusiasm for all our English product! We are creating such an amazing community and wee love that you Limeys want to be a part of it!! This is so fun!!

And so it begins (for us) on the supply chain! Up at 4:30am to talk to the UK suppliers and the most interesting news is... MARMITE! We literally get upwards of 20 requests a day for this and we now know why - Marmite is a yeast by-product and the manufacturing facilities rely heavily on the beer industry. The beer industry has tanked through COVID (I realise that we underestimate the effect of COVID living in our relatively small bubble here in BC) However, it's practically shut down the industry in the UK and Europe so the knock on effect is why you are not getting Marmite or Bovril for your toast right now. They are (apparently) expecting an uptick in yeast availability from November onward... so watch this space! We will bring it in as soon as it becomes available!

OMG Limeys!! This day was Crazy!!!! You awesome people were lining up outside the shop in minus I-don't-know-what-temperatures... (we will invest in a patio heater for you, during COVID, dang we appreciate you!) It was the best day yet, after our opening Saturday day, we are so overwhelmed with your amazing support. What an incredible community! I just became so much more British - I seem to have something in common with everyone that comes into the shop! We love you, Limeys! Thank you so, so much!

So excited that Julie & Marcus Tuck cane through with Tucks' Truck - how cool is this beast? These guys have travelled the world for the last 7 years - and wound up at Limey! It’s going to be a fabulous day!

Crisps... anyone?!!

A sneak peak of our restocked shelves! Before you ask.. no - still no marmite (don’t make me explain again.. ) Pot noodles and fray bentos and Christmas stuff arriving next week & the week after - CRISPS ARRIVING FOR THIS WEEKEND! We are even staying open until 5pm on Saturday instead of jumping into our Fall hours because so many people are coming from so far!! WE LOVE YOU LIMEYS!!

Such an exciting day!! We just closed and restocked for tomorrow - Before I upload other stuff and comment on all the amazing comments and messages - THIS is so exciting!!!

When our suppliers let us down we take life into our own hands! Kudos to the Wanna-Be Brit, Lee for driving to Vancouver and back to our importer to stock us up while we wait for the other stuff to arrive! The crisps will be here the weekend, the rest we are unboxing now!!! #dontletitbesaidwerenotcommittedtothis

Christmas Countdown is ON! 65 days! If we are to believe what we hear there's a MAHOOSIVE amount of snow coming to Kelowna on Friday and through the weekend! Get those snow tyres on and head down to Limey, The British Shop, Christmas stuff is NEARLY here!!
