Letting go of the ‘ideal’ and ‘perfect’ ways we want our life to be can make things lighter but also can be scary and feel groundless at times. But sometimes freedom can feel groundless and empty too!
There are so many parts of our lives that have been disrupted. Remember this is a collective experience, and we’re all experiencing things in our own ways. Take it easy on yourself and your partners.
As we begin to enter the world again in various ways, the need to reaffirm boundaries appears. How can we set boundaries and be compassionate? How can we be compassionate to our needs and to those around us? The process goes something like this: Acknowledge any pain. ... What’s truly hurting deep down. Is it really someone or something out there or is it something within? Identify your triggers. Acknowledge how much you can and can not handle. What are your limits?
Another perspective on what this experience has taught us about ourselves and the value of our relationships.
It’s been 65+ days. We may be used to a new version of our lives but our underlying emotions may still have some waves to make.
