Rhianne (11 years old) has been training with us once a week (30 min. session) for the past 3 months. Her sessions consist of a 10 minute warmup, 10 minutes of some form of sprinting, and 10 minutes of plyometric and/or medball exercises. We've used simple, basic movements and exercises to help build a solid athletic foundation for Rhianne from which she can progress from as she gets older and her body matures. In this example you can see how she has improved on her running m...echanics with regards to ground contact and lower limb stiffness. Although this hasn't been a major focal point in her training, it has resulted from consistently working the basics of running and jumping and ensuring the quality of each rep is maintained. It incorporates multiple variables required for performance which include Strength, Stability, and Deceleration. @taliasireni @elanasireni . .... . . #strength #stability #deceleration #training #athlete #basketball #sports #vancouver #vancity #delta #surrey See more

An example of what you can expect to learn during our Winter Break Speed training drop-in sessions Dec. 27-29 ($10 drop-in fee). Limited spots so DM or email us to reserve yours! Ground contact and shin angle. After a couple of sessions: ... Here's a great example of improvement on how the foot contacts the ground and the change in shin angle. The pic on the left the athlete contacts the ground with more of a flat foot and vertical shin angle. In the second pic, ground contact is more on the balls of the foot with an acute or forward/horizontal shin angle. Notice how the foot is also underneath the body or center of mass (COM) in the second pic vs. in front of the body/COM in the first pic. #speed #sprint #training #athlete #sports #football #soccer #basketball #hockey #volleyball #lacrosse #trackandfield #vancouver #vancity #surrey #delta See more
