In a very quick move, I have received confirmation that I am able to return to work!! Starting June 2nd I will have availability. At this point I will be reserving the schedule for those clients who had their appointments cancelled back in March. Once I have contacted the cancellation list I will open the schedule to everyone else.... Also at this time I will not be accepting new clients as my availability will likely be limited, and booking follow up appointmets will prove to be too difficult at this time. Some people may have heard that the province has given massage therapists the go ahead to open. This is true, but under the guidance of our governing college. The College of Massage Therapists of Ontario has not yet contacted us to say if we may or may not open under this new directive. I expect to hear from the CMTO by the end of this week with standards of practice to begin working again.... In the mean time, here is what I do know and what you can expect once I am able to begin treatments: - I will be required to wear a mask during all treatments, clients have the option of wearing one if they choose. EDIT: clients are also required to wear a mask - All clients will be required to submit to me via email the self assessment questionnaire before all treatments, I have to have this documented in your files moving forward. - I will continue the same disinfection measures I have always taken; new linens for all clients, cleaning and disinfecting the table and all surfaces in the treatment room between clients, washing my hands before and after all treatments - I will add new disinfection measures of cleaning all surfaces in the entrance (inside and out) and waiting area between every client, and all clients will be asked to wash their hands before entering the treatment room. - Clients are asked to come alone to treatments if possible, and to not arrive early for appointments to ensure the previous client has departed and I have had the opportunity to clean. - I will no longer be providing any mobile treatments. As soon as I receive the word from my college that I may return to work I will be contacting all cancelled clients first to rebook. Keep in mind I have been off work for almost 3 months now! I'll need to ease back in, so my appointment times will be limited, please be patient with access to a time. I will not be raising my prices at this time, but this may be something I need to investigate with the costs of masks and time extension between clients. I will provide ample warning if this is the case. Thank you all for your kind support during my closure and I am very excited to see everyone again, hopefully very soon!!

I hope everyone is doing well with this pandemic. If you're able to get out for some exercise, yard work, chores, or work in general dont forget to stay hydrated, and keep loose with stretching and proper warm up and cool down before and after working! Know that I miss everyone and am eagerly waiting for the go ahead to begin treatments again. I was utilizing my time to do some cleaning and I came across a stash of massage tools that I intended to sell.... They are a decent stand in for massage therapy if you have a small muscle emergency. It's called the Davinci Tool and I use mine anytime I get a migraine, or that annoying pain between my shoulder blades. It's great for traveling with as well. I have a few available if anyone is in need, I can answer any questions you may have about them. They are $25, and you can pick yours up or I can drop it off on your porch. I'll make sure they are all disinfected before pick up or delivery.
