Dear friends, If anyone wishes to help, I would TRULY be grateful. You may have seen my latest and endless posts on Facebook and Instagram about the most recent... unfortunate happenings to Armenians. To sum it up, we have been faced with brutal acts of crime against humanity for over 40 consecutive days. Over 1300 people have been senselessly killed, hundreds injured and thousands left homeless. Churches have been targeted, children's hospital and maternity wards were destroyed and along with many many homes crumbled to the ground. As if all this wasn't enough, as of this Sunday, thousands of people are forced to evacuate their homes as those territories are being taken from its indigenous people. The cold weather and winter months are fast approaching. These poor people have already started evacuating from their homes with basically only the shirts on their backs. They will leave their belongings and lifelong memories behind which is so sad and heartbreaking. These families have lived here for hundreds of years and in the blink of an eye, it's all going to be robbed away as a "peace agreement" was signed a few days ago with the cost of surrendering parts of our ancestral lands. It's hard not to get emotional as I type this. We have been watching history unfold right before our very own eyes. I'm willing to collect your contributions and personally deliver everything to the drop off centre in Toronto by the deadline of November 21st. You are welcome to drop off directly to the Toronto location or you can meet me at various locations depending on your convenience. Here are some options of locations: I'm temporarily living in Milton so, that's an option and working in Cambridge (where my office is located) and frequently driving around surrounding areas (Kitchener, Waterloo etc). I'm also willing to purchase all the items needed on your behalf if you prefer to make a monetary donation instead. You may drop off your gift at my office (RE/MAX Real Estate Centre at 766 Old Hespeler Rd. Cambridge) but please contact me before coming so I can ensure I'm not with clients/and that I'm in the office or etransfer is another option too. Your support and generosity are greatly appreciated during this dire time of need. You are welcome to look back at my posts to see with your eyes how bad conditions are for these people. REAL ESTATE transactions in ONLY the ONE month of July BREAKS RECORDS for any given month in the entire 40 YEARS HISTORY !! Despite the pandamic, this sure is a huge rebound! The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) said on Monday that the 62,355 home sales in July 2020 marked the highest monthly sales figure on record, with data going back more than 40 years! ... Now you know why I’ve been saying lately that the real estate market is hotter than the summer we’ve been having! The only thing hotter than the temperature we had on Saturday was the activity in the Real Estate Market !!! It’s like the pandemic has pushed the industry to condense 12 months of business in only 7 or 8 months left of the year! There’s definitely pent up demand out there, with lots of buyers competing to buy homes and a couple of reasons behind it is that inventory is low and mortgage rates are amazing! We need more sellers in our region as I’m seeing a lot of people i...nterested in moving from the East of our city, as work arrangements are changing and more people are now able to work from home.
