Today was submission day for Sheridan's Annual Photography Gallery Show. The last two days have been madness - shout out to all the people in the printing labs and mounting room! lol My 2016 submissions are...drum roll please.... Good luck to all my talented peers! Can't wait to see them all up!

Replicating Viviane Sassen's idea for shooting the CARVEN clothing campaign. [my image is on the right] Choosing to put the main subject out of focus? Completely not my style but I was intrigued and very impressed with her clever concept. And so, I fell in love. I look at her work and am astounded by the way her mind works. Of course I still added my own spin to it: my model is strong not diminutive, with a healthy look to her skin, and represents multiculturalism. Sorry fash...ion world, I will not conform to the way you portray women. Thank you Akshita for indulging in my photo practice today and braving the cold. FYI photo peeps: this is what not to do for Miguel's assignment lol
