Fifteen years ago when my son was just a few months old he developed eczema. He was covered from head to toe. This surgeon says that many surgeries are no better than placebo. Yet those surgeries, which actually by their very nature could be much much WORSE than placebo... are allowed to continue as always. Now, imagine that HOMEOPATHY, which is accused of being no better than placebo, caused the kind of damage that surgeries gone bad do. I mention articles like this, because I think it is very hypocritical for the likes of Paul Offit to bully doctors and parents to religiously partake in a medical system that we know has so little to offer, AND that could be their demise if they are unlucky enough to be one of the millions every year who dies or is maimed by appropriate medical "care". Medical care under some circumstances is life saving. Yes it is. But freedom for doctors to make good choices for their patients should be protected-- Not mandated, any more than orthopedic surgery should be.
