This is beautiful!...for me, Mary Magdalene is the mirror...she magnifies the image of the divine feminine...and as such some artists have tried to capture her image as a living icon to inspire all women to magnify the image of God and bring God's glory to the world

I'm quite surprised. Well maybe not. Question 19 of 23 questions and answers about Jesus Christ asks: What was the relationship between Peter and Mary Magdalene? The answer provided by a team of catholic theologians shows how modern people read scripture...as if scripture was a factual account. Too bad. I think scripture should be read as it was done in past centureis, by piecing the stories together in the context of who Jesus is. Among the many epithets describing Jesus is ...the Bridegroom, the Rock, and the Stag of Song of Songs. And Jesus is also the King the Gazelle of Song of Songs lets go in favour of the Stag. Mmm...the team of catholic theologians say...that any thought that Mary Magdalene and Peter had an inappropriate relationship is pure fantasy. So, people curious to know...will need to start with their knowledge of who Jesus is! See more

I just read an interesting article http://www.christiantoday.com//moses.marriage.an/63904.htm... It makes me wonder if Simon the Cyrene the black man who carried the Cross of Jesus was not also affected with racism...euphemistically leprosy. Has this Simon's identity and his pharisaic/father-son relationship to the Rabbouni been dismissed because of his colour?

Dan Brown might have the secret after all. Getting the next generation aware of who Mary Magdalene was and the legends about her...may give the adults a reason to read about her too! Was she married to Jesus? Did Jesus leave her a pregnant widow?

The Christian Story is God`s promise to Creation. As the story goes, a woman discovers she`s pregnant. This pregnancy is no ordinary human conception. It’s from God. When she tells the man engaged to her, he makes plans to end the relationship. An angel speaks to him in a dream and the man begins a journey with the woman full of God’s promise of Love and eternal life. Late one night the couple arrive at an inn. It’s full. They lodge in a stable and the animals are blessed. P...eople, like long lost friends get wind of this blessing, bring gifts, and then when the politics get tough, leave town. Politics are still tough. The Church like this pregnant woman promises that God`s love will live with all Creation forever and life will be so fine. Yet, the divide between rich and poor is greater now than ever before and the Earth`s climate is changing rapidly. The effect is causing the extinction and endangerment of flora and fauna and forcing people from their homelands. People, who give God a home, expect a home in return. How can the Church show people she cares? My Ecothee 2013 paper looks at the importance of Song to the Christian Story. It examines Psalm 23, the Song of Songs, the Madonna’s Song and the lyrics of Don Stewart, a singer and songwriter from Vancouver to illustrate how songs can be spiritual conversations that shepherd people, to the Gate where love waits, to forgive and renew all Creation. http://www.lindavogtturner.ca/about.html
