I am drawn to developing organic waxy edges. Here I used a smushed egg carton that I found on the road and some lace from a doily. There is so much hand work in doilies that I feel some regret in tearing them up but I do like the way wax builds up on them. The tree was the last image to be added using a scribing tool and filling the lines with burnt umber oil stick. I am looking forward to seeing leaves on trees again but this one will forever be winter tree. #encaustic #encausticart #treeart #encausticpainting #foundobjectart
I think of encaustic as love paint. It’s essential ingredient is made by bees. When you imagine them travelling from flower to flower...can you feel the love? I have created a collection on my website in honour of love. Feel free to go for a visit. Here is the link: https://lindawiebeart.ca/collections/love-art

Love Day is coming soon and I am making hearts to celebrate! I like to think of encaustic as love paint. This is my intent while painting as I apply layers of colourful love to the surface. It becomes an offering of love energy to the person who will receive it. The first in the series are up for viewing and sale on my website. https://lindawiebeart.ca/collections/hearts... Local people can make arrangements for payment and pick up at my house. . See more
