Great video to understand the role of the lymphatic system.
This week’s herb ID challenge solved - Foeniculum vulgare (Fennel)! An interesting eclogical fact of note: the plant attracts hoverflies which feed on aphids.
Today is Summer Solstice and I am harvesting Yarrow in the garden. Come and meet the plant with me in this video!
Red Clover (Trifolium pratense) is blooming in the garden. It flowers sequentially so it can be harvested a couple times per week all through summer. Ecologically it feeds pollinators (though its nectaries are too long for short tongued bees!) and like other Fabaceae plants it fixes nitrogen. Medicinally it is a gentle expectorant and lymphatic with affinity for the lungs and skin.
