Today was our annual SPCA lunch. Dartmouth staff signed up for appointments to cuddle kittens. Introducing Valley Crossroads Health & Wellness Centre. This building was a collaboration between doctors, creating a beautiful wellness centre with family practices and health-related businesses. A Design Build project fully executed with Lindsay Construction resources. Today the Kiknu Long Term Care Facility sod-turning took place in Eskasoni First Nation, NS. When we asked our President and CEO, Cory Bell, about this project he said "Having accessible long term care is vital for every community, allowing families to remain close during all stages of their lives. We are pleased to be Eskasoni’s building partner for this important community based project. An iconic #throwbackthursday photo taken at the early stages of construction at White Point Resort in Liverpool, Nova Scotia. A little piece of history that takes you right back. Check out the article that this photo was featured in, along with the finished building. When fire destroyed the main lodge, Nova Scotians were devasted. This week started out with a funding announcement to upgrade, expand and improve Brigadoon Village. Important infrastructure upgrades will allow an additional 254 campers to be onsite and provide all campers with better access to safer facilities, staff, and support programs and activities. These improvements will allow more children to engage safely with fellow campers and enjoy summertime recreation in an educational setting. The Government of Canada is investing $3 million in this project through the Rural and Northern Communities Infrastructure Stream (RNIS) of the Investing in Canada program. The Government of Nova Scotia is contributing $3 million while Brigadoon Village will raise the balance of the funding. #LindsayConstruction #TeamLindsay #ryansmithphotography
