Next up for our actors for our Night of One Acts is Carolyn! Carolyn has been involved in theatre since she was a young child. She has performed on the Lindsay Little Theatre stage, the Academy Stage, The Globus stage, and in numerous television commercials as well. She took a break from live theatre for a while and made her return working backstage on a show for Lindsay Little Theatre called Goodnight Desdemona, Good Morning Juliet. Her favourite role she has ever played w...as the dancer in Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat. She enjoyed the rehearsals. They were a lot of fun and she has some great memories. Her favourite subject in school is biology. She also enjoys history class as well. She was asked what book she has read and enjoyed a lot and she said the Tale of Deseperaux. She wasn’t sure she would like it but ended up loving it. Her favourite role would be to play Christine in Phantom of the Opera. She loves this show and has seen it multiple times. Carolyn was put on the hot seat by her own mother when asked what her favourite and least favourite characteristics of her Mom was. She replied her favourite characteristic is her sarcasm. She loves that she and her Mom can speak fluent sarcasm with each other. Her least favourite characteristic is that her Mom tries to micromanage her too much. Carolyn has really enjoyed working on the Evening of One Acts and hopes that the audience will have a good time out and a bunch of laughs. There are still tickets available but they're selling fast so get yours while you can! We hope to see you at the show!

Ever wonder what tech on an LLT production is like? Usually it's a long night of trial and error to find what works for the play. Now that we're out of our usual space though we were really out of our element trying to set up tech for our Night of One Acts. We wanted to show you a glimpse of what tech is like and how we get it all to work. Thanks to our patient cast, everyone on the crew were able to set up the lights in no time and then they just needed to be adjusted and s...et. After lights are set the cast and crew run through everything to make sure it works for each scene, and lucky for us it did! Tech is hard but our cast and crew work harder. If you want to see the final product of our hard work come on out to our Night of One Acts at @pieeyedmonk on December 11 at 6pm and December 12 at 12pm and 6pm. Tickets are available up until the day of but the sooner you book the better. We hope to see you there!

Our next actor for our Night of One Acts is Nathan! Nate has been part of Lindsay Little Theatre for a few years now. He started working with Lindsay Little Theatre as backstage crew on Murder at the Howard Johnson’s, Harvey, and Moon Over Buffalo. He was the stage manager for My Heart’s A Suitcase and Skin Flick. He acted in Kaleidoscope, Robin Hood, and Barefoot in the Park and he co-directed The Breakfast Club. Stage Managing for Skin Flick was one of his favourite thing...s to do so far at Lindsay Little Theatre. His second favourite thing at LLT was having the lead role in Barefoot in the Park. Nate was asked how he feels about the character, The Angel of Death, that he plays in the One Acts. He said he feels that he was born for this role. Having such a long break from theatre due to Covid 19, this was a great way to jump back theatre life. He was asked what qualities he had in common with his character and he said that he has some of the same attitudes. He is funny and loud. He feels like the Angel of Death is still trying to figure out his job even though he has done it for years. Nate has been a child educator for eighteen years and is still trying to figure out how to do the job better and better. When asked how he memorizes his lines, he said he gets to know the characters really well and then he writes his lines out over and over and he also records the lines so he can listen over and over. He even teaches his daughter the lines so he can practice with her as well. His favourite line so far in this show is about Hall and Oates and Wayne Gretzky. Nate feels like the best part of being a member of Lindsay Little Theatre is that it is a home away from home. It is a place of belonging. A lot of people come to theatre not really feeling like they belong or fit in to normal society but at Lindsay Little Theatre it is different. Everyone has a place and is welcome. It is a safe place to come and be yourself. There are still tickets available, but they're selling fast so get yours while you can and keep an eye out for more behind the scenes fun from the show!

Our next actor for our Night of One Acts is Tarina! Tarina Koty has been in many productions for LLT. She first walked through the theatre’s doors on a dare. Her children wanted to audition for a play called Homechild, and they dared her to audition with them. She ended up in a lead role with her daughter Arianna. Tarina loves theatre and attends as often as she can with her family. Her favourite production of all time is called The Play That Goes Wrong. Her absolute favourit...e shows are musicals. Her favourite character she has portrayed so far has been Suzette in Don’t Dress for Dinner. She played a comedic role as a cook, wife, and fake mistress all in one character. She was a fun character to play and perfectly suited for Tarina’s personality. Tarina has been involved in different roles for Lindsay Little theatre as well. She has been an actor, stage manager, has worked the tech side of shows, and is heavily involved in LLT’s Keep the Lights On fundraising campaign. Tarina aspires to direct a show soon. She sits proudly on the board as Vice President as well. Tarina was asked if she could have one super-power, what would it be? She replied teleportation so that she could see all parts of the world anytime she wanted too. Tarina loves to travel and hopes to see more of the world once Covid-19 is under control. Her bucket list for travel would include Switzerland. She was asked what three of her likes were and three of her dislikes. She replied that three likes were all animals (but was emphatic that cats are better than dogs), pickles, and coming to work on shows for LLT. Her dislikes were being lied to, chocolate and coffee, and the cold aspect of winters here in Canada. When Tarina was asked about what kinds of things she ponders when she is alone, her first instinct was to reply, Alone time? What is that? I have five kids, a husband, multiple cats, and a new puppy, but she said she does wonder (when having a moment to herself) if she is doing enough in this life. If she is doing all she can with her skills. She hopes audiences will have a good time at An Evening of One Acts!

With great sadness, we have received news that our friend, fellow director and past president Pamela Brohm has passed away after a long and well fought battle with cancer. Pam touched the hearts of many throughout her years at Lindsay Little Theatre, as both an accomplished actor, director and board member. She served as President for twice and wherever she was in the theatre, happiness and light were sure to follow. Pam was always quick to offer a hand, bring a smile to your face, and never stopped making you laugh. Everyone who spent time with Pam truly felt a resounding and lasting impact. Our hearts and love go out to her family during this difficult time
