With Halloween approaching, our jack-o-lanterns will soon begin to rot. But what if this year, we used them for something else before that happens? You can find recipes for pumpkin face-masks, soups, and other goodies! OR You chop up your pumpkins and use them to feed wildlife such as birds and racoons. But even if you decide not to do any of those things and you just want to throw it away, make sure that you put your pumpkin in the compost this year!!! AND it's most affective if you cut your pumpkin into smaller pieces before composting it! Food waste in the landfills causes methane gas production which is harmful to the environment, so be sure to compost when you're finished!
