The last week has kept me busy with this basement revitalization The home owner wanted the pony wall to be the same height and wanted to find a way to make it look like a feature. I suggested a board and batten styled wainscotting with new window trim and door casings and fresh paint throughout! I think this one is coming together nicely :) more pictures soon!

This complete home revitalization was such a fun project! I was gifted the trust of my client to choose everything from colour, to fixtures to blinds and drapes I love creating space!! The house is a 1980s build, it was in many wild colours and too many wood patterns and features to name. To modernize the look I scrapped off all the old popcorn ceilings and repaired them to a beautiful flat finish. Went for a main warm neutral colour (London Fog from BM) throughout. The cedar herring bone wall went to a rich blue (Abyss from BM) in a Matte finish to allow the colour to really be seen. I am a sucker for crystals so there is a theme of beautiful sparkles in every room I am so pleased with how this project is coming together! Not quite finished yet a few more pictures to come!

The other day I became very aware that I was the only mom dropping off her kiddo at daycare looking like this. And for a minute I felt weird about it..... Addy’s mom is different than most. Later that evening when I picked her up I had at least 5 your girls ( under 5 years of age) circled around me asking me all kinds of questions about that I do to get so much paint on my pants. In that moment I realized I was representing another option for all of those young ladies. If they wanted they could work in the trades, they could own their own company. Theses girls can do anything they want. And that’s when the pride washed over me. Dare to be different, dare to be you
