The Lions vest . It is custom to wear the vest at meetings, conventions and when giving service, within the community. A vest is worn as an expression of pride in being a Lion The entire membership of the Sydenham & District Lions Club feel deeply over the loss of a Lion’s member when they pass. We have had 4 in the last few years Lion Jim Kelly, Lion Walter (Bud) Young, Lion Dr. Paul Radford & Lion Robert (Bob) Blackadder .who all wore their vests with pride Recently, we received the vest of Lion Bob Blackadder from His family who graciously have donated it back to the club. They knew how important being a Lion was to him as He was to us. His vest was worn with Pride and in his commitment in our motto...’We Serve’

A huge thanks to the Lions clubs of Odessa, Bath, Napanee, Amherstview, Sydenham, Kingston, Sharbot Lake and the Sharbot Lake Leos for their donations towards h...elping the McMullen Manor fire victims. Also thanks to the Joslin, Day, Buttle and Byford families who also gave. It is truly humbling and inspiring to see the caring and support freely given especially in such challenging times. I am honoured to be a part of this community.
