Yesterday at the terry fox run a boy asked if we could watch his bag. We think he must have forgot about it. Can we share the photo around and it get it back to the owner, please.

Please be aware of the paid parking in effect in Lions Head. Where you can please walk to the event on Sunday. Alternatively you can park at the Areana and the Lions Head Transit Authority will shuttle you to the school.

Terry said, "anything is possible if you try." These are words that keep us going and offer hope for the future. Everyone of us has encountered cancer in some capacity. As we age, we know the risks get higher. The Terry Fox Run is just around the corner. I just wanted to reach out one last time to everyone and ask for a donation. Any donation no matter how humble is greatly appreciated. I would also like to share my respect to Rod Chisholm. He was the maintenance man...ager at Sunshine Village Ski Resort when I did my apprenticeship there. He was a person whom without I wouldn't be who I am today. He lost his battle with cancer this summer. My condolences to his family. Linda, Robert, Scotty, and William this run is dedicated to you and Rod. Thank You.

10 Days! The Virtual Terry Fox Run is taking place on September 19. Even Terry sometimes wondered if what he was doing had any meaning. He realized it did... when he saw how Canadians across the country were inspired to support the Marathon of Hope and the impact it was having on cancer patients and survivors. T-shirts are now available in the Lions Head area. We have a collection of different sizes from youth Med to adult XXL $20 each and all proceeds going towards the Lions Head terry fox fundraising. Pick up or delivery available locally.... The Fox Family are proud Canadians. Like many families, they wanted to research their heritage and discovered their Métis lineage on the Gladue side of the family (Betty Fox's mom was Marian Gladue). To honour this history, the family liaised with Métis Nation BC to create the 2021 Terry Fox Run t-shirt.

Hey Lions Head community. We are the Martens family. This is our first year organizing the Terry Fox Run. We are excited about helping to bring our community together for such an awesome charity!

Lions Head received the 30 year legacy award after the 2020 event. Congratulations and big thanks to Vicki and Roger Stevens for there commitment to the organization and the fight against cancer.
