It’s that time of year again. If you remember, for the past 2 years we’ve done a campaign where we’ve donated 10% of our commissions to the Children’s Aid Foundation of Halton for all purchases and sales of homes closing in October. October is Child Abuse and Neglect Awareness Month and although it is only August, typical closing times are 60-90 days, which puts us directly into October, and we want to have every opportunity to donate as much money to the foundation as possib...le. Our goal this year is to donate $8000 to the Foundation. You might remember us asking for referrals to your friends, co-workers and family to help us boost our contribution to the Foundation, and it has been a huge help! Without your support, we wouldn’t be able to give back to the Community the way we do. This campaign has been really successful the past 2 years, and this year we are happy to extend the campaign for all closings happening between October 1, 2014 to December 31, 2014. We wanted to Thank you for your continued support, so we’ve decided to put a bit of a twist on it this year. Andrew and I are both very competitive people (both in our personal lives AND our business)and we believe that many of you are too. So we’ve decided to make this a bit of a contest...I mean why not...it's for a good cause!!! For every referral you give, your name will be entered into a draw for a 1 Week vacation. The spring season is off to a fairly slow start. We still have WAY more buyers than we do sellers, and this is causing us to see record prices on a lot of home...s. I do foresee an increase in the number of homes on the market soon as homeowners are realizing that even though the weather hasn't been the greatest, we are still technically well into the spring market and they don't want to miss their opportunity to sell their home in the height of the selling season.
