The second wave of COVID-19 is here, and we all need to work together so we can keep our business, hospitals, and schools open. As we head into the weekend, please keep in mind the new public health orders for the Vancouver Coastal and Fraser Health regions. The orders require everyone in those communities, with the exception of Bella Coola Valley and Central Coast residents, to limit social interactions until November 23. Although we cannot be together, we can still honour the lives lost, and the sacrifices made by those who have returned from war with injuries, both invisible and visible. Today, we pay tribute to those who have risked their lives to protect ours. Lest we forget.

We've flatten the curve before; together, we can do it again. Due to an increase in confirmed cases, Dr. Henry has issued new public health orders for the Vancouver Coastal and Fraser Health regions. The orders require everyone in those communities, with the exception of Bella Coola Valley and Central Coast residents, to limit social interactions until November 23. With our final counts complete last night I would like to thank the wonderful people of Maple Ridge - Pitt Meadows for your support. I am truly honoured to continue working for you in Victoria. Together we have accomplished so much, but there is more work to do. I can't wait to get started. Thank you!

Although we aren't able to gather like we are used to, we can still honour our veterans, their families and their fallen loved ones. To respect the Legion's decision to follow the direction from the Provincial Health Officer around large gatherings, the City of Pitt Meadows held a small private wreath ceremony while physically distancing at the cenotaph prior to Remembrance Day.
