A letter from our owner & president Gratitude to those who are doing their best Let me share with you what our team are experiencing during the COVID-19 crisis,... and why I am so grateful to them. For two months our travel advisors have been operating under great uncertainty, trying hard to provide guidance and clear information to our clients, with little information and quickly changing circumstances. Every day when we thought things couldn’t possibly get worse in travelthey did. And we are in this situation for the long haul. Our advisors are working late nights and weekends to do their best to make travel changes, on telephone holds for long hours at work and at home on behalf of our clients to try to get answers about what to do. Our travel advisors are using their ingenuity, patience, and perseverance to navigate through very trying and confusing circumstances because they know that many clients still need our help. We genuinely care that people get their questions answered, travel rearranged, insurance claims submitted, and travellers home. There have been hundreds and hundreds of these in the past two weeks. We provide the best reassurance we can to those stranded far away, and dig deep to find out how to help, seeking information from airlines, governments, and one another. My team are going to bat every day for their clients, trying their best to get credits, refunds, and other changes. It can be extremely stressful they feel helpless and want to do more. Family and personal time is being sacrificed. We understand that many clients are feeling stressed about travel cancellations, the dollars they have invested in vacations now cancelled or credited, and the economic uncertainty we all feel in this crisis. Often we must explain unpopular policies not of our making to anxious clients - please know that we feel deeply for you. Advisors are doing everything possible to advocate for their clients but often are powerless to change things. However, let me assure you that behind the scenes we are doing all we can to communicate concerns to the highest levels in an effort to ensure you are being heard. Most of our team are now working from their homes but continue to serve their clients as usual. You can reach us via email or phone message - we are checking in frequently. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us as we do our best to continue to meet your needs. We are so grateful for your past business and we commit to doing all we can to continue our great relationship in the future. We appreciate the many kind messages and words of gratitude expressed by so many of you these keep us going.
