A few pics captured at the United Way Central & Northern Vancouver Island Breakfast this morning. #uwcnvi #unignorable
We can always use more inter-generational relationships and learning where we build communities, and not institutions that separate people by age. This is such a wonderful example of how all benefit when we bring generations together
Amazing news for our community! The City of Nanaimo has purchased the Five Acre Farm to be an agriculture education site, and wetland conservation site. So happy to see all the hard work by all those involved come to fruition. #NanaimoFoodshare #Celebrate
ICYMI feedback for the draft #strategicplan is due at end of day this Sunday, September 1. Click on link for more info!
Today the NLPS board of education had the opportunity to share lunch and meet with the three MLAs in our school district, Doug Routley (MLA Nanaimo-North Cowichan), Michelle Stilwell (Parksville-Qualicum) and Sheila Malcolmson (Nanaimo). I’m grateful for the wonderful opportunity to continue to build relationships, share information and discuss how to best serve our students and communities. Alone we can do little, together we can do so much. Helen Keller
Love seeing creative ideas like this used to keep our students engaged and improve learning. Our districts can learn so much from one another.

From my home to yours, wishing you all happy holidays full of health and happiness. Hope you bring in the 2019 New Year surrounded by friends and family! Just to let everyone know, I have updated my campaign page to be used as your elected School Board Trustee and will begin using this page again to share School Board related information as it comes up.
A few pictures I never had a chance to share. :)
Well the time has come, the eve of election day! I can't believe we are already here. Please remember to get out and vote tomorrow. Deciding to run has been a positive, rewarding experience for me regardless of the outcome. I am looking forward to the results and for the future of our school district's new board. I am thankful for all your support! I wanted to share some things that made me smile through this campaign process: Going door to door was one of my favourite camp...aigning activities. I wish I had time to do more! I had so many wonderful conversations, shared laughter and support at your doorsteps. For this, I am thankful! I am grateful to have been surrounded by other school trustee candidates who have been lifting one another up during the elections. I am optimistic for the future of our school board as one who leads through collaboration, community engagement and integrity based on many of those running in this election. Our school district is composed of dedicated parents, teachers, staff, and many stakeholders who are committed to an enriched education for our students. This dedication was made evident through ample conversations, e-mails and questions which clearly showed me you care and want what is best for our students. Our district is composed of generous, community focused residents who care about the future of our public schools and our students. I am grateful for the donations I have received in various forms during this campaign. I am surrounded by amazing, supportive friends and family. You helped make this campaign happen! Thank you, Merci, Huy ch q'u
Check out the survey results for the BC Alliance of Arts and Culture as responded by School Board trustee candidates! I'm in support of continuing to increase opportunities for arts and culture within our schools and building healthier, more vibrant communities for our students. http://www.artsvotebc.ca/candidates-survey/
Great way to get our secondary students involved and engaged with our municipal elections! This made my day :)
Hope to see you all there!
Early voting today and election day coming up this Saturday the 20th! Be sure to vote! :)
