3/4 The Energy Bucket When your energy is drained even further, it's much harder to even meet a person's basic needs. Getting out of bed, showering or making food may feel like an insurmountable task. In this case all the person's energy is being channeled into keeping their organs functioning, breathing, elimination, heart pumping and brain activity. At this stage rest, nourishment and self care is not enough to restore energy levels. The person needs assistance to reduce dr...ainage from the bottom holes to improve energy levels. 2/4 The Energy Bucket When you don't get enough rest, are feeling mildly sick, have emotional upheaval or haven't fueled your body well, you will likely not have enough energy to do all the things you may like to do, but still can function throughout the day. Things like feeding and clothing yourself may take more effort, but they still get done. With proper nourishment, rest and self care energy levels often go back to normal. 1/4 The Energy Bucket Each day your bucket is filled by eating well, getting enough sleep, living with purpose and managing stressors in a healthy manner. Each person will have distinctly different energy capabilities. Each of the holes represent a drain on our natural energy resources. When the body is healthy and able to function normally, a person should have enough energy for all the details of daily life, as well as "extras" like exercising and socializing.... Has your body's "Check engine" light been on for a while? Have you just "turned up the music" like a friend of mine posted? Too often we blame the Driver when it's really the Engine to blame.
