You don’t have to earn happiness or a good relationship. This is often a believe that develops from childhood trauma where love & acceptance had to be won and... worked for. You, just being you, deserve happiness, joy, love, and all the good things by simply just being you. Allow yourself that. Give yourself that. Do you find you resist something good because you feel you still need to do work to heal? Why? Remember healing is a lifelong journey so don’t wait till the end a miss something good. I took some time today to give my indoor plants some TLC. Some needed re-potting, some needed extra support to grow tall and strong, and some needed some pruning of old, dead leaves. As I did this, I was reflecting on how our own personal growth can be like this. Do you need more space for your roots, more support, or needing to prune what is old and dead in your life? To change your behavior, mood, and overall well-being ...NOW try imagining how you want to feel and who you want to be in the future. Here are some steps to help: 1. imagine your future self (who you want to be) while in the present 2. describe/write in detail what it will take to get there (make a roadmap) 3. Tell someone (accountability) Don’t let you’re present lock you in. Just think of how you have grown and what you have accomplished so far!
